My Experience With This Lot
My experience with this lot\"
I needed to unlock a new Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 phone on the O2 Network. Placed my order at around 10pm one evening. Firstly I had trouble with PayPal, which would not accept my Maestro card - even though there was plenty of dosh in the account and PayPal claims to accept Maestro cards. What a palaver. I don't like PayPal. But most of the unlocking companies I've checked seem to use it for payments. Anyhow, managed to get the order placed with a VISA card. The cost, including VAT, was £4.79 paid to a company called Online Solutions.
Immediately I got an e-mail:
\"Dear Customer,
Thank you for your order.
Please note your order id: *****, and quote it in any correspondance to us.
A member of our unlock team is currently calculating your unlock code to unlock your Samsung, Galaxy Ace GT-S5830. IMEI: ******** Network: O2
Our system could not automatically generate a code for your handset and we will contact you with your code by email at your paypal registered email address [email protected] within 24 hours.
If you have not received anything within this timescale please check your junk/spam mail or contact us.
Best Regards

So this service is not terribly quick. 24 hours? Well...
The following evening at 9.15 I got another e-mail:
\"Hi
I have ran [sic] an extensive search our database for the latest unlocking methods for your handset and your order is now complete.
To access the latest info for your handset please click on the link below:
*******************************************************************
Thank you for choosing Mobile Unlock Codes.

When I visited that link I got the following:
\"Your Order ID: **********
Phone Make: Samsung
Phone Model: Galaxy Ace GT-S5830
Network: O2
IMEI Number: ********************
If you are having any problems with the service please contact us.
NOTE: Please Backup all of your phone data such as contact numbers before
unlocking your Samsung handset.
Put in the non-accepted Simcard you wish to use and and turn it on.
Type this code *#123456789#
In some newer models you may have to use this code instead #*987654321#
Press Exit. You will get a new menu.
Select Malloc Fail.
The phone will reboot and ask for your PIN if you have one setup already.
Your phone will now be unlocked and will operate with your new sim card.
PLEASE READ: As explained in our terms this is a temporary unlock so you
will have to follow this procedure each time you turn the phone on and off.\"
Those are the facts. Make up your own mind.
THE CODES AND ORDER DETAILS ARE NOT THE REAL ONES!
Eventually got the phone permanently unlocked by using:
http://www.samsung-unlockers.com/
The cost was £10.79 including VAT to Internet Networks. Order placed at 1am. Unlock code received by e-mail at 8.20am the same day. It was just a series of numbers and worked straight away. Now The Galaxy Ace can take any SIM you stick into it.
Phew!
