Great Phone On O2. Camera Takes Very Good Pictures
Great phone on O2. Camera takes very good pictures in daylight, not so great in dark conditions due to type of flash. Great video camera and excellent music player. These are the key reasons I bought it. 8gb storage is enough. Not great for surfing web but then thats not the reason I got it and have had problems connecting to my home wi-fi.

Ive Been With Sony Ericsson Phones For Ages Now...
ive been with Sony Ericsson phones for ages now...
First - W550i ::
Second - W760i ::
NOW - W990
this phone has been far the best model ive used and heard about.
everything is great to use.
A TIP: to save battary turn the brightness down to the lowest point.
My battery lasts well long.
the camera is okay, can be better, if it had a lock on effect.
Ive got the red design very nice i love it.
bad points ive noticed, ORANGE have a rubbish 3g connection and the BBCi Player doesnt work.
OVERALL VERY VERY GOOD PHONE TO HAVE, if u dont wanna go touch screen. Simple . Easy. Solid! =D

Not A Bad Phone All In All Has Pretty Decent 8 Meg
Not a bad phone all in all has pretty decent 8 Meg camera so taking pics are definately a must especially still scenary shots only problems was I tended to find with my phone with the sim keep slipping and not registering on the phone, also the camera could at times take pictures I found that were very blurry!.
All in all it's decent handset easy to use and with the slide action open and close I found very smooth and easy to navigate and use for calling and txting so it gets thumbs up from me.

Hard To Call This One. Definitely Not As Good As M
Hard to call this one. Definitely not as good as many people are saying.
The Sony Ericsson w995 is technically a very good phone, yet here I am giving it just three stars. All of the features are there, and for the price it gives you a lot - wifi, video playback, excelled walkman software, 8mp camera, gps and 8gb memory card free with almost all deals. Its very pretty, and shiny and has a solid feel.
However the features do use up alot of battery power - and aren't as good as they might be.
Battery - I went to a party yesterday and took about 30 pics, used gps tracking to find my way on a few occasions, and 3g to check facebook etc, i made 20mins of calls and sent half a dozen texts. I would say that used up about 35% of the battery life.
Camera - it may have 8mp but the lens is average at best and the flash is very poor. I tried many times to take a pic of the cake in bad light but actually gave up in the end. In good light the pics came out ok, though nothing like as good as a digital camera would take.
Music - very good. The best out there probably. 8gb memory card and easy to use media software (though mostly i just use windows and transfer files with explorer).
Video - a good feature, but keep an eye on your battery. It will playback ipod sized video formats in "decent" quality.
Headphones - Its personal preference, but I dont like the Sony earphones. However the 3.5mm jack for headphones is a brilliant feature that i hope more phones take up.
Style - again its a personal thing, but i like it. Its my first slide phone, but i think its a good one. Solid feel, and shiny exterior. Excellent screen quality.
All in all its not bad, but i'm left thinking it wouldn't have been very hard to make it alot better...

The Sony Ericsson W995 Has An Average Quality, The
The Sony Ericsson W995 has an average quality, the design is quite sleek as well as its features. The phone came out a bit pricey but I guess you weren't that ripped-off too much.
If you're a diehard fanatic of Sony Ericsson, there are other models to choose from.

when i first got the sony ericsson w995 phone it was great but now there are the occasional crashes and i have only had it less than a month the screen scratched really easy and the camera :O ,,i used to have a k800 and i would say it would challenge it. the battery life is really good though.overall i would say for the money it isn't that good a phone.

The Sony Ericsson W995 Is Not Bad For A Freebie Fr
The Sony Ericsson W995 is not bad for a freebie from 3. However I'm starting to regret continuing my contract with them as the area covered by their masts seems to diminish by the week. The screen quality is pretty average for a phone but not nearly as good as a Blackberry or iPhone, but then I suppose it's not a touch screen and doesn't have the hefty price tag either.
The sound quality of the headset is poor when making calls but the speaker phone option is good enough to use as a hands free in car, which was a big surprise. Sound quality of the supplied ear phones aint great but as it comes with a 3 1/4 inch jack you can add your own which will boost sound quality.
The battery life is poor, I am finding that I have to charge it every night to get the usage out of it the next day, otherwise it dies half way through the following day.
Over all it's not a bad phone and it looks quite smart,
