There Is Obviously A Known Problem With The Sony E

There is obviously a known problem with the Sony Ericcson W890i and W880i as mine did exactly the same thing, switched itself off, although mine did turn itself back on. Sometimes it did it randomly on it's own when it was sat on my bed side table, it vibrated and off it went. Sometimes it would be in the middle of a text message too, which was very annoying. Sometimes it did it just the once, sometimes it had a huge fit and went on and off over and over again I had the exact same problem with my old make of this phone (Sony Ericsson W880i) and thought by upgrading they may of fixed the problem with the new model.

I also had rubbish signal too but I put this down to the the orange network not the phone, but it is interesting that others are having this problem too, maybe it is the phone.

I rang orange as I had put up with the problem for 6 months and they sent me a new phone, which ended up doing the same thing. In the end I had to buy a new pay as you go phone and use that with my contract as Orange would only give me reconditioned phones and 2 of the models were Sony Ericcson which I won't touch with a barge pole now.

Keys A Little Too Small And After 1 Year Sound Fai

Keys a little too small and after 1 year sound failed so now no longer rings. Fault similar to others and not simply resolved, or worth expense. Features otherwise good and like all SE good control of contacts, ability to sync with PC/mac. Good radio and camera OK. However inability to hear incoming calls a definite downer.

Originally I Loved This Sony Ericsson W890i Phone.

originally i loved this sony ericsson w890i phone. the memory was great for photos, videos and music albums. however the phone has a mind of its own, it switches itself off, the buttons stick (making texting almost impossible) and to top it off i cant get the phone to ring when someone calls.(even though speakers are fine) dont think id buy ericsson again!!!!

I Have Had The W890i For About 6 Months Now, For T

I have had the w890i for about 6 months now, for the most part it has been a great phone - excellent features, web access, resolution, camera etc. However about a month ago i started to encounter problems. Namely the phone seems to freeze, turn itself off and lock me out. The only way to get back in is to take the battery out. Annoyingly when the phone restarts all of the themes have reverted back to default. This problem usually occurs when i am on the phone - most annoying. I heard that this could mean the phone needs a service update, but i have tried this along with several other suggestions... time for a new phone i think!

I find mine does occasionally switch off too. I can easily solve the problem by just turning it back on but the background doesnt load until I've been in the menu and come back out!

Sony Ericsson W890i Fits Lovely In The Hand, Easy

Sony Ericsson W890i fits lovely in the hand, easy texting, nice big screen. Great phone with a quality feel about it,super -easy to use keypad and fits nice in the pocket, lovely design, however the internet can take an age to connect and the volume just isnt high enough, soundwise,a bit dissappointing for a walkman.

I Bought The Sony Ericsson W890i Phone Partly Beca

I bought the Sony Ericsson W890i phone partly because it is one of the few you can get in a colour other than black or silver. The brown and gold option looks very smart although there is a strange plastic section near the bottom of the phone that spoils the appearance a bit. The photos are very goo although limited by lack of flash - I have still been able to take fairly good shots inside. Functionally it is fine with the occasional call sounding a bit quiet. If style is more important than substance then this is the phone for you. If you rate style and substance 50/50, chances are you'll still like this phone.

Dont Buy The Sony Ericsson W890i, I Had The Old W8

Dont buy the Sony Ericsson W890i, I had the old w810i which is a far superior phone in almost all respects. Although the camera has 1 more megapixel I still don't really see how this is an upgrade? It has no flash or zoom and unless everything is perfectly still in your photo you will get a vibrant blur of colour. The sound quality of the phone is worse on the external speakers. Because it is so thin it can be tricky to hold and the buttons are smaller so it's harder to text. Also i barely have any signal anywhere and have to call people back 3 times in a 10 minute conversation... Its going back to the shop

I feel you are comparing this phone to the W810 too much. The camera on it is actually very good - if you wanted better you can usually find a K series that matches. I agree with what you said about the flash though as it's such a shame not having one.Loud enough for me, but then I only use it for calls :)

If Not For The Quiet Ring Volume This Could Been T

If not for the quiet ring volume this could been the best Sony Ericsson ever. The camera takes good pics and great video. The music player is the best on any phone. Battery life locked in GSM was a little over 4 days with a lot of calls and music use.

The phones so good I would love to say its perfect but I have to come back to the weak ringer and say it does let the handset down.
