Nokia 9300

I admit that I am a Nokia Communicator fan and I have had them for 7 years or more. I have now had three models (and many more phones as the previous ones broke at least once a year). So far so good, but it is insured.

I love the Nokia 9300 mobile phone because it has my life in it. It is backed up and synchronised to my PC.

I have 731 contact cards (apparently). Most have more than one number and an E-mail address, and I have them with me where ever I go.

The Calendar (which runs slowly on this phone when you move from day to day) has my work and social and family life in it. It tends to be used as the Oracle when asked if we or the kids are asked to do something.

I keep all sorts of documents (word compatible but not word) in it, and I take short meeting notes on it too. I love the Keyboard. The Spreadsheet is good too, but it is not Excel (compatible almost) or Lotus 1-2-3.

The E-mail is great, once I worked out how to set it up. It's like an extra view of my e-mail, and I can look at it when I am stuck or bored somewhere. I have over 600 past text messages in it.

I can view most web pages, and with a big screen it's not too bad.

"Desk Top" you can set up like a PC, and even have note reminders on it. You can also have an explorer function to use like a PC.

I have learned to work around it's shortfalls. I even use the internal screen as a torch! The lack of vibration does not worry me, as the phone sits on the desk next to me and I can see it flash if it rings on silent or meeting. I change the profile to ring if I put it in my pocket. I do miss calls when I forget.

I love it to bits, and I have yet to break this one after 9 months, and I am not kind to them!

Last tip. If you get one, get the biggest Memory Card you can. I have 512, but music eats space.

The Nokia 9300 is surely one of the best mobile phones I have ever seen. It gives a lot of options for people who use the phone a lot, and for those who like to explore the features of the phone. It is a complete package except that it doesn't have a camera. It is a bit on the larger side but is still pretty manageable, and looks cool too. It has good internal storage (80MB), along with the MMC slot, which makes it a good entertainment tool too. I have used many phones: P910i, O2 XDA II Mini,O2 XDA II, 9500, and the i-mate JAM, but I find 9300 better than all the above because it's a hybrid of all of them.

In all, highly recommended.

At first I thought the Nokia 9300 mobile phone was good, but the longer I had to live with it, the more I resented buying it. I have started using my old 6310. Even when not using the key pad, the battery life is not half that of my old phone. I spend most conversations, or potential conversations, with the earpiece in my ear, holding the phone in the air trying to wave a friendly, or maybe bored, signal in my direction. I sent the phone back - nothing wrong with it. Then why is the reception so poor? The thing also gets confused, maybe all that waving in the air - I don't know. The service centre's solution after updating the software is to reboot it once a week - are they mad? So, I like being able to synchronise with outlook but, it is more important to be able to make and receive phone calls.

Good point in material and design.The Nokia 9300 has easy functions to use and screen displays very well ,speaker works good in conference but does not have vibrate function.
