Lost Count Of The Number Of Phones I've Broken In
Lost count of the number of phones I've broken in the past, but the Nokia 5140 stands the test. Sturdy and strong, it also has the walkie talkie feature that looks set to really take off in future. If you like the outdoor life then this really is the phone for you. There's even a digital compass so you'll know you're always heading in the right direction. Bought this from FoneShop.com and they gave me (free) the Xpress-on GPS housing (a satellite positioning gizmo) so you can never have the excuse that you don't know where you are. Love it.

Very Good Phone. Just Got To Get Replaced Under In
Very good phone. Just got to get replaced under insurance, 'cos I fell off my bike and the phone got ran over only the screen didn't survive, but it still switches on. But happy with the phone did have a 5100 before it. The facia on the 5140 is a bit tougher. It can be dropped and thrown.

You N Ame It, The Nokia 5140 Does It, And Does It
You n ame it, the Nokia 5140 does it, and does it well: GPRS, Wap, video, the whole shebang. It even looks nice. The screen could be bigger, but it is still perfect.
It doesn't do good video/images, and the keypad is awful, sadly. The keys are too close together, stiff (lower three) and unresponsive, and the soft keys are hard to press -- there are just too many small, fiddly keys (nine in total) too close together in the top 10mm of the keypad to make it usable by thumb presses (adult thumbs anyway).
Otherwise, it is generally a good phone, though it goes well overboard with the gimmick count.
