After Owning My Nokia 3530 Now For Approaching Six
After owning my Nokia 3530 now for approaching six months, I now identify with another owner who mentioned button malfunction after 5 months.
This is now also happening to me, but it may be the floppy keypad thingy behind the front-case of the phone, not the workings of the phone innards itself.
I say this because careful inspection with the front-case off, and the floppy keypad off, makes it easy to see that when you push a button, you in effect push a short(3mm.?) rubbery "pole" of sorts, and THAT 'pole' then pushes the REAL buttons of the phone's innards.
Take one apart, you'll see what I mean: - the solution may be to simply buy a new rubbery key-pad where 'pole' length is not yet shortened/compressed by five months of use...
Other than that, it's not a bad little phone, but somehow I doubt it'll go down in history as one of Nokia's more durable models.
And then... what the heck... after a year, who wants to be driving the same old car, the same old phone..?

I received my Nokia 3530 for Christmas 2003. I have not had any problems with it since. It is a simple mobile phone, but jam-packed with features. I love my phone, but it is a bit big. I suppose that is a good thing, as I have not lost it yet!!!!

At The Ripe Old Age Of Fifty-four, The Nokia 3530
At the ripe old age of fifty-four, the Nokia 3530 is my second cell-phone since losing my mobile phone virginity six months ago, and I'm thrilled with it.
It's waaay cooler than the comparatively-heavy Nokia 5125 it replaces.
I really liked this model's unusual keypad:
I saw it, I bought it!
-in fact this was The Very Feature that attracted me to the Nokia 3530:
It's probably just too cool for most of you out there, sorry..
Yes, it's a nice-lookin' phone at night, and is unusually stylish during the day.
Yes, the unusual keypad takes a little getting-used-to, but it took me all of 15 minutes -and I'm 54!
I got my Nokia 3530 (in March,2004) for the local equivalent of U.S.Dollars 50,
which strikes me as being a darned good deal for a colour phone of recent vintage.
Seems some users indicate a useful life of about 5 months in some cases,
but somehow I suspect younger folk treating the poor little thing with no particular care,
perhaps banging it around, wearing it constantly like a watch (just not my particular lifestyle, sorry)
-and dropping it too, which I'm sure it really 'appreciates'!!
Take reasonable care of the thing, and you should get at least a year out of it,
by which time some newer model will come along, even cooler-lookin',
and we'll all go with that.
-Whatever!

hi guys,
DO NOT .... i repeat DO NOT buy the Nokia 3530 mobile phone. The software is very very bad. I have got it repaired (believe it or not) twice in the past four months.Dont know what will happen once the gaurantee period runs out.
MY ADVICE: Do not go in for this phone because of its affordability, because u will regret it later,as me and my friends are, right now.

I Just Upgraded From A 5125. The Menu On The Nokia
I just upgraded from a 5125. The menu on the Nokia 3530 is very familiar so it didn't take long to get used to it. The new key pad is good because it doesn't look like everyone else's phone. Games are great. Everything works fine so far. Only problem is I have to wait for my cell provider to enable WAP and GPRS before I can get new tones, games and software.

I Owned A Nokia 3530 On August 8th(2003).actually
I owned a NOKIA 3530 on august 8th(2003).Actually I am in urgent need of cell at that time and I asked my friend to get me one.when she got this I was not at all satisfied by seeing this.she convinced me saying that this piece is having many options and the cheapest piece(WITH color screen).I was in a thought like who needs all options, only required is incoming call and outgoing call and same with messages. But now I totally disagree with my previous thoughts. It is very nice piece.Till now I didn't face any problem on that. One thing I observed is it has large storage capacity.Even if you observe the ring tones storage, apart from nokia default tones i stored around 17 tones and still there is place to store.I dont know exactly how many I can store in it.you can store these ring tones in seperate folder called tones in gallery. It is even compatible for polyphonic ring tones. If you play the ring tone of this and other piece you yourself can differentiate the clarity of the tone.Only weird thing i observed is keypad. It doesn't looks good.Thats it.No other problem i got while typing messages fast.I got used to this keypad.you should be careful while you are downloading something.you should check the compatibility first.otherwise it may create you some problem. That is there with any type of piece. Not only with this.Actually I dont handle things with care.I dont know how many times i might have dropped my phone by mistake.still you know not even one repair i got.still what can i say about this.only I didnt satisfy about the look of the piece. That may be my problem and you might be satisfied even with that.It has got good alarm, reminders, day notes, calculator etc etc....
many good features in it.Finally i can say nokia 3530 is worth buying.Don't compare this with highly priced piece.see the options it is providing and see the compatibility of the price. Then move forward.Thats all I can say about this.HAVE GOOD TIME WITH NOKIA
HI, about the keypad of 3530, you can buy another keypad which fits 3530 eventhough it is for other models:
try, see, fit the xpress-on cover of 3510i, or just 3510, that should solve your problem with the keypad (the merged keys)

I Have Used Nokia 3330, 5210 And 6210, In The Past
I have used nokia 3330, 5210 and 6210, in the past, but this Nokia 3530 may be the best of all,
the best thing about this mobile phone is that its cheap and that the biggest point that i think one should not spend too much money on cell phones if u can get every thing for less.
hope it runs well in the future.

Never Buy A Nokia Phone! An Advice To All Of U. I
Never buy a nokia phone! An advice to all of u. I bought this Nokia 3530 mobile phone 5 months back. Now it has given me more problems than pleasure. Its keypad has problems-- some buttons dont work, the phone automatically switches itself off and on itself, voice recognition aint there at all, even ringtone volume is very low. now i have gone to nokia sales and service centre to get this thing repaired, but after every visit, a new problem crops up. And this is my first nokia phone.
Nokia never again! Panasonic phones are much better valure than this....

I Have Had This Nokia 3530 Mobile Phone For 4 Mont
I have had this Nokia 3530 mobile phone for 4 months and I'm afraid the colour will all fade away after a year. Polyphonic tones are fine tuned now compared to its predecessor which is like fire engine sound. Surely this is the reincarnated 3510. Almost the inside is the same and just converted to colour. When this phone was released in the market I was really dying to have this phone. When I finally owned one and after a month of using I found it boring. I still love my 5210..
