This Is My Third Nokia 3230 That I Have Received F
This is my third Nokia 3230 that I have received from Orange and it still crashes! When I contacted Orange with this problem, I was told that the problem lay with Nokia and there was nothing they could do until Nokia released new software for the phone.
The phone otherwise is excellent. It takes excellent pictures and is very user friendly. The keys are a bit fiddly but that's not unusual with new phones. I know this phone has had quite a slating but it really isn't that bad. It take 2 seconds to reboot it when it crashes, which is hardly a life time! I nearly always have reception on the phone. I also like the big screen and it is excellent for playing games.
I do suggest Nokia improve there software for all there phones, as it seems quite common for Nokia phones to crash.

I Have The Worse Problem Ever With My Nokia 3230 M
I have the worse problem ever with my Nokia 3230 mobile phone. My battery ran down and I decided to charge it as usual. After that, the phone went off and I couldn't power it anymore. I swapped batteries. Mine worked in another 3230 but the other couldn't work in mine. what could be the problem. does it mean my phone has gone dead?

Several Features Are Missing On The Nokia 3230 Mob
Several features are missing on the Nokia 3230 mobile phone compared to my previous Nokia 6310i.
1. Screen lock time-delay (not included)
2. Birthdays don't synchronise between Calendar & Address Book
3. Can't search in Calendar
Generally, this is good as a phone, and the camera is good quality. HOWEVER, most other functionality is variable. It is great when it works, but 50% of the time it just crashes.

I Chose The Nokia 3230 Mobile Phone As An Upgrade,
I chose the Nokia 3230 mobile phone as an upgrade, and I received four 3230's from Orange until I got one that worked. On the first three phones the memory card would not format, and the camera would not go on. There was also no icon to notify me that a message had been left for me, and no notification of a missed call, even though I had been left a message.
On this fourth phone, the camera still only comes on when it wants to, and not when I want it to. It often does not even take a picture when it does come on, and says there is not enough memory, even though there is.
The main screen notifies me when I have a missed call, but when I access this information it is often impossible to delete this icon, so I am never sure if this icon is referring to the first missed call or a subsequent one.
Yesterday I tried to text someone, and the text would not send because I did not have a good signal. The icon on the phone that I see when texts are usually sending is now stuck and will not go away, even though I have switched the phone on and off several times.
When I send a text message, I write the text and click on 'contacts,' but I have to then press another button which changes the phone to alpha mode before I can scroll down the contacts. I don't know of any other phone on this planet that makes you do this.
This phone is so slow, it inspires me with no confidence whatsoever. It is clear to me where the ultimate flaw of this phone lies. It is trying to be something it is not. It is packed full of hundreds of features and it can't cope with them. It is like a Robin Reliant posing as a Ferrari or a sheep in wolves clothing.
As for the reviews which say this phone is cool, they must have been written by those overpaid PR people who pose as genuine consumers in order to write things about products on behalf of manufacturers!

I Am On My 3rd Replacement Of The Nokia 3230 Mobil
I am on my 3rd replacement of the Nokia 3230 mobile phone now! I have had nothing but problems with it since I got it, but as it was a contract phone I could not exchange it. Believe me, if I could I would have!! I am really disappointed, having gone for Nokia for years, and now this has really put me off!
The mobile is trying to do more than it is capable of, and on Christmas day it decided that it didn't like the memory card anymore, so it isn't registering it, and I have now lost all my pictures etc., and it keeps telling me the Sim card registration failed, and keeps crashing, then not going on again!!
It looks like I will need to be in touch about it AGAIN!! It is a nice looking phone though, and the quality of the pictures is really good, but with everything else that has gone on with it, I really have been put off and would not recommend it!

I Generally Like The Nokia 3230 Mobile Phone. I Do
I generally like the Nokia 3230 mobile phone. I don't need all the bells and whistles of most new phones, I just need good battery life, good reception, a good camera/video, and the ability to talk and text, and the Nokia 3230 does most of these really well.
I have to say the buttons are a bit too small, and the function keys at the top sometimes don't line up with the text on the screen, which can be confusing, but you do get used to it. The loud beep before you get a message or ringtone seems to defeat the aim of the tones in the first place, and there is no way to switch it off unless you switch to silent. The volume control is also poor. There does not seem to be a way to get a really quiet ring tone, but even the quietest is too loud for the office. It goes from silent to loud to distorted... not good.
The camera really is good, and the photo-editor is a nice way of touching up your shots. Night mode is a bit grainy, but without a flash what do you expect?
Oh, and my daughter likes the games too.
The Nokia 3230 is a nice mobile phone. I wouldn't buy one, but for a twelve month contract it is worth a go.

I Am Very Pleased With The Much Awaited Nokia 3230
I am very pleased with the much awaited Nokia 3230. Not used every application yet but pleased with what have used so far. Phone is very handy pocket size with a very clear and large screen. Has some good games pre-installed with superb graphics. If someone has worked out how to get rid of the annoying beep before the phone rings or you get a text notification could you please post how to get rid of it. Thanks. Overall I am very pleased with the phone.
So the bug have been fixed.
I'm not really bothered about memory, because I have a computer for that.
But you can buy memory card of a larger size if you want.
or...
Just bluetooth files onto you comp, and delete some files to make room.
pleased with the phone but memory and volume of the phone is poor. Anybody else having the same faults?
On the whole a good phone, but there is a display problem which the company is aware of. Although they are giving replacements for the handsets, but the new handsets have the same problem. The accessories are also very expensive. On the whole a good phone.
