Nokia 1112 Keypad Is Very Very Charming, Easy To P
Nokia 1112 keypad is very very charming, easy to press and very simple to use. its battery is nice. sound is clear.I t has very low ringing tone or message alert tone. it has very small capacity to store messages in inbox, sent items and in drafts folder. Tere must be a suitable amount of storing messages in this mobile. this mobile must have recording like other mobiles.

It's A Great No-frills Phone, I Downgraded From Co
It's a great no-frills phone, I downgraded from contract to PAYG on Tesco no-frills, and after realising that I didn't use my camera, and only rarely received picture messages I decided to go for something simple and with a stupidly long battery life (after initial charge it was 9 days before I had to charge it again). It's also a Nokia, so the text messaging system is almost instinctive and it ease of use.

How Can You Not Like A Mobile That Actually Does W
How can you not like a mobile that actually does what it is intended for.
Basic is good, £20 on Tesco cheap too.
Tried a Motorola F3 for a week (basic phone to) It doesn't even come close to this.
If you talk and text and want a good reliable mobile buy this.
I have a Sony Ericsson K810i all singing all dancing, will be going on eBay. Battery on this Nokia 1112 lasts for about 2 days of talk time, shows a signal when there is none, no more big price phones for me.

I Have Two Phones, And So My Second Phone Doesn't
I have two phones, and so my second phone doesn't have to be very exciting. I got this because "it gets the job done". It calls and texts. I say that it has no bad points because if you are thinking of buying this, you will know that this a bit retro by not having a colour screen, camera, bluetooth, infrared, wap, etc. So by not having these features is not really a bad point as it is an entry level (budget) phone. And for just £20 on Virgin, you cant go wrong!
In the box was just the sim card, phone, battery and charger.
This phone is able to play mp3 ringtones (it has some provided). The only other way to get ringtones on, is how people used to back in the day, by sending it over a text message.
The battery life is very good. Longer than the lastest feature phones as you'd probably guess.
And, of course, its a Nokia, so it is easy to use. Also, as I was used to more modern phones, the 1112 having a 4-way directional key is very handy, rather than the two way key on retro Nokias. It also has a composer.
It also has a message counter, which I was quite surprised about! It also has reminders and converters (so it can work well as a business phone to an extent). If the * key is pressed and held down, then a clock appears, and sounds, its a talking clock!
Its very light, solid and compacted. Very pocketable! Or if you have a handbag, you can fit it in along with your purse and make up etc!
Knowing this phone was basic, and having the Nokia E70 as a main phone, I wasn't bothered about features, but I thought it might have wap, but it doesn't. But that doesn't matter too much for me, as my E70 is 3G and wifi.
Overall a small, cheap, cheerful and basic phone with good battery life!

I Have Just 'upgraded' If You Can Call It That, Fr
I have just 'upgraded' if you can call it that, from a Nokia 1100 to this latest cheap and cheerful no frills mobile phone. As usual, Nokia is so simple to use I did not even have to read the instructions. There is a Demo mode in the phone itself if you do forget anything too.
The design is a little similar to the 1100, but they have improved a bit on its' appearance, it doesn't look quite as 'cheap' looking! I would not knock the little 1100 at all, it's been a great phone and I will still continue to use it as my second phone. The 1112 has lost the handy little torch the 1100 has, but makes up for it in a few other new features. It feels lighter too at only 2.82oz. Size - 4.09 x 1.73 x 0.67 inches.
Appearance -
More classy looking, slightly squarer but about the same size as 1100.
Screen - Monochrome, black on white as opposed to 'green'.
Choice of colours - Black, red or blue
Simplified menu and navigation with 4-way scroll key makes phone calls easier
Large keys - easier on the eyes
Keys are tough plastic as with 1100 making texting easy
Functions -
Extra long text message facility, 918 characters
Large text message storage (60 messages on phone, 60 on SIM)
Speed dialling for SMS
200 contact entries plus 250 on SIM (operator dependent)
and here's a nice one, speaking alarm clock and clock!
Integrated Hands-free speaker
Calender with reminders
Three built in games
Polyphonic ring tones, loud enough to hear in your handbag!
Composer
Animated Screen savers
Dual-band GSM phone 850/1900 MHz
Amazing battery life - Up to 5 hours talk time and up to 15 days standby.
YES! 15 DAYS!
At the moment Virgin Mobile are knocking these little beauties out for about £20! I repeat - about £20!
If all you want a mobile phone for is making and receiving calls and for sending SMS text messages this is the best little phone you can buy. Even those people with very little technical knowledge can find the simple no frills functions of this phone a doddle. I have had the all singing dancing phones before, and once the novelty wears off, the battery goes down quickly, they are often larger and heavier than this Nokia 1112. If I want to take photo's, I use a camera. (with better results than any camera phone!) If I want to make a phone call I use my phone! And if I want to listen to music I switch on the stereo in the car!
Talking of cars, there is a hands-free ear piece available for this phone. Personally I never use my phone when driving anyway, I can return calls when safe to do so.
All in all a mobile phone well worth a gander, but if you want extra functions like blue tooth, music, camera and internet, this phone is not for you.
