First of all the people who are saying that NEC e616v is rubbish they don't know to use NEC e616v. It is very good and affordable handset and its camera result is also very good

I have got Nec 616 mobile phone and I didn't know how to operate it and get information on how to use all installed access; particularly, about bluetooth, game, How to use loud speaker, Compas/GPS. Would you kindly guide me how to operate my phone on the proper way. Additionally to this a friend of mine is interested to buy the same phone as mine and would like to know the current market value of this phone at this time.

Overall, the NEC e616 is a great mobile phone with little need for improvement. The games are great, and the video calling, recording and MP3 player are brilliant!

I have this phone with 3, and even though they have great packages, their customer support is non-existent, to the extent that I have complained so much to them on various things relating to the phone, that they no longer reply or acknowledge my emails of complaints. Their customer service offices are not sited within the UK, so as you can imagine, there are language barrier problems. Bitter does not even cover how I feel.

The phones features are misrepresented as in that it is not Bluetooth compatible, and you cannot transfer files between phones or your computer, but only use the function with a headset. My main reason for choosing this handset was for full Bluetooth compatibility not half a Bluetooth.

The GPS location service does not always work, and you have to re-boot the phone by removing and reinserting the sim card, and then start up again, which is a bit of a pain really.

The software included is lovely to use, as it is compatible with Office Outlook, and so I can synchronise the phone with my PC dates. One drawback of the phone is that its internal memory cannot process a full years calendar worth of dates/appointments. Transferring images to/from the phone is a doddle.

Not all music formats are accepted by the phone, so it is limited when customizing your phone.

It's a pretty phone to look at and use, just a tad too bulky when used in conjunction with the bigger extended life battery, or as I jokingly call it, 'the car battery'. It's just down right big.

I have been with 3 mobile for two years. In that time I have had two different phones. When I first purchased the NEC 616 I was hopeful that some of the problems I had before had been sorted. Unfortunately that was not the case and instead the problems were worse. The NEC looks the part however both my friend and I have had problems beyond belief. These include receiving messages that had not been sent. The LCD panel said 1 message received but this was not the case as the message didn't not appear in the inbox. When messages had been sent they appeared in the LCD panel as being sent from a totally different person. The phone cuts out, turns its self off and on resets and so on. The biggest problem has been with the loss of reception. This was an extremely irritating problem as it was sometimes down for 10 minutes and more. I believe that this phone and the 3 network are not professional or reliable as the customer service is also appalling. Five of my friends have all cancelled their contracts in the last few months and I had mine cancelled 2 days ago. I would not recommend 3 mobile or the NEC 616.

The NEC e616 gives me peace of mind. I have a 02 mobile as a pay as u go. And I use three to make outgoing calls only. It's worth it as it gives 500 anytime minutes. No other networks gives you so much.
