Motorola T191

I bought a T191 phone as it came with heaps of free talktime and a free sim card. After 2 weeks the screen was scratched to hell, after 4 weeks it started randomly beeping and turning off. I needed tweezers and a microscope to send a txt, the keys are tiny. After 2 months the phone had been "repaired" 3 times on warranty and no longer worked. After a quick trip back to the store they happily swapped it for a Nokia 1100 which is heaven compared to that old piece of junk.

I like this Motorola Talkabout T191 mobile phone, mostly because of the fact the design is a 10 in it self. It got what I need from a phone and no more than that. But allthough the design is beatiful, it very quickly loses it's charm as the polish surface gets scrtaches just by looking at it. The rubber antenna also gets pretty gros pretty quickly. The software is quit allright, althoug I miss adding words to the dictionary, a thing I definetly want later. The software sometimes act very strange, not often but still to much. It seems a bit heavy as well but this part I quickly forgot, it still lies as it shall in your hand, and the size still makes it possible to loss in your pocket. And it is quit solid as a whole, not even the antenna have cracked and i've dropped it many times. Allthough there's an antenna the receiving isn't the best, my old phone Nokia 5110, was way better, so it's not the quality of sound that sells this, the ring tones are terrible, and if you turn the volume down you simply can't hear them. But to vibrator you definetly can feel. And the SMS function lacks in some parts as well, unfortunatly, cuz just a bit better and the phone would in my mind be perfect for me.

The key edges on the Motorola Talkabout T191 are very close 2 each other. the screen will easily get scrached. the software in the mobile phone is not good. this phone switch's itself off. menus are good but not interactive/user friendly. good weight, very good size/compact. the alarm dosn't have a snooze. we definetly need that.

I use my Motorola Talkabout T191 mobile phone for a year its a good phone if you know how to use it i put it to my pocket which holds coins and its screen stratched just after i bought it. Its menus are also bad designed but thanks to customizable fast access you can easily access important features. It has an alarm clock inside which is a very important add on especially for me, other than that it has a calculator which also can be quite helpful sometimes. It also have nice games . But its tune manager totally sucks . and even if you lock the buttons it can still be closed by pressing power botton , i think thats why people think it close by itself sometimes. Overall thats a good phone for this price . In a month ill buy n-gage but i dont think ill sell my t191 it can still be useful.

When I bought the Motorola Talkabout T191 mobile phone, the sales person actually advised me against it as they had so many complaints. Didn't listen because I had my heart set on it, it's just so cute. Broke down pretty quickly, but I sent it off for repair no problem. It promptly broke down again, this time two days out of warranty. I'm now in the process of buying a new phone, and believe me, even though I love the motorola t191, I won't be getting another.

Bought as replacment for a (faulty) Siemens C35i, wish i had just payed up for the dearer Nokia. The screen marked within almost the first week, the reception is variable at best and i constantly have to use the network search facility, that is if the menu system doesn't stall meaning i have to turn off the damm thing. Which brings me to its main failing, it swithes off in the middle of calls, just whenever it feels like.

The Motorola Talkabout T191 looks stylish and leaves nothing to the imagination. Great downloadable ringtones and easy wap access. Uses curves throughout the design which gives the look. Out of the sevral phones I have owned it is also the most user friendly.

I like the size, weight and overall user freindliness of the Motorola Talkabout T191. Not a patch on nokia for after sales stuff and the aeriel defeats the point of the phone being compact. Finding ringtones is one of the most difficult things, after all we do like to play with them once we get them - do we not!

The prime reason for purchasing this Motorola Talkabout T191 is because of it's aesthetic appeal.For all the technological add-ons it provides, I wonder how the designers overlooked the adjustment of the volumes of the ring tone,speaker and the microphone! It would have been a great convenience to control the audio levels especially in solemn environment.

Dont buy this phone. These phones, as I found out when I went to get it fixed, have power problems. They are known for switching off for no reason. I had to take mine to get fixed 3 times, always returned with the same problem. In the end they ended up giving me a new phone, same model. They didn't give me a new battery though. This is direct from Motorola Australia. When I spoke to the people who fix them, they responded saying that this model is bad, they get so many returned its not funny.
