This M3788 Was Purchased ( £10) As An Emerge

This m3788 was purchased ( £10) as an emergency Phone in the Girls car, it was always pluged into the charger. When the battery went Kaput I retired the Phone and updated. I have a new battery for my m3788 and am happy I kept it. Nobody wants to steal it, my children do not 'borrow' it as it is not "Cool"Can I do something about downloads?

I've Had My Motorola M3788 For Over 10 Years And I

I've had my Motorola m3788 for over 10 years and it's perfect - never a problem - well the original battery doesn't last long on standby but you can use 4 AA batteries!! What modern mobile can do that? I wouldn't change it for anything.

The Motorola M3788 Was Not Bad Old Thing From End

The Motorola M3788 was not bad old thing from end of 98 brilliant at getting reception, nice big buttons loud ringtones which I said was bad but it is good because you can hear it over the noise of a tractor. It lacks features like a clock, basic stuff taken for granted now.

The Motorola M3788 Was My First Phone, I Thi

The Motorola M3788 was my first phone,

I think it is a very good first phone because it is simple and easy to use. I have dropped and bumped it on numerous ocasions and it has never let me down. The only problem I have with this phone is the lack of features.

This Motorola M3788 Was My First Mobile Phone That

This Motorola M3788 was my first mobile phone that I had. I bought it about 3 years ago and got it for £29.99 which was good value.

The phone itself is a good phone and useful for a first mobiile phone but has lack of features, e.g no clock, alarm or games, not even a calculator. There is no phonebook memory so you can only store on the SIM card. Also when you recieve messages it only shows the number that sent it even if you have the number in the phone book.

The reception on the phone is good and the battery life is good.

There are 11 ringtones which are loud however most of the tones almost sound the same, and there is only one choice of message tone. You can have the ringer off but there is no vibration function so you would be likely to miss calls.

the phone is really only recommened for children if you only want a phone for calls. If you are feature crazy like me then this is not recommended

I Must Have Had My Motorola M3788 At Least 4 Years

I must have had my Motorola M3788 at least 4 years now,it has never let me down and fullfills all the needs I have for a mobile, just does just what it was designed for 'a mobile phone'.I bought a Nokia 3330 as an upgrade, but gave it to my daughter after a couple of weeks,I prefer the old faithful motorola, not being interested in the gizmos, graphics, games, and ringtones, etc.an unlike all my family, forever changing phones, never knowing which number to ring them on I always have the same number. Pity its out of production now I imagine, I will have to get a different model when it dies, but it will be another Motorola

To Be Fair, The Motorola M3788 Is Not A Bad Phone.

To be fair, the Motorola M3788 is not a bad phone. It's well built and could last you a lifetime. But it's size and weight do count against it.

The main problem with this phone is the lack of features. Granted, it's a dated esign and is very cheap, but writing Text messages is a chore and so is receiving them. It is difficult to read messages, as the screen layout is a mess.

Another bugbear is the user friendliness, or rather the lack of it. It's hard to find your way around the (few) functions of the phone.

Having said all of that, it's not bad if you only use a mobile in emergencies, or if you want a spare phone in your car. You could find one for a fiver nowadays.

This Phone Is The Perfect First Phone. It's Easy T

This phone is the perfect first phone. It's easy to use, nearly damage proof and you will get to grips with it in about 30 seconds. It is not good for teenagers and frankly they can't use it too much in public if they want to be saw as cool. I have to use it in my bag. I only care about how it looks really. Don't care about wap which nobody I have ever met uses. I don't care about the ringtones and most people I know have normal mono sounds and they think it sounds great and it sounds poor. Also most of the games out for most phones are poor(even many nokia ones) so I don't care about them.

It's only downfall to me and the reason I will have to get rid of this phone is SMS. It is poor at SMS as it doese it on one long line when you want to send you have to remember the number.

The signal is great for it's age and so is the sound. I wouldn't want better. And the backlight is great.

It's damage proof as I have said before. It really can take some falls and knocks. This phone was sitting next to a Nokia 5210 a few weeks back at my mates on his by his open and he does not care if I want a phone like this. He threw a football as he was messing around and it hit both the phone and they when flying forward and into he air and just out the window to a concrete floor. Amazing and shocking to see. We looked out the second story window couldn't tell what they were like so we went to see. His phone was cracked and wrecked and my one was fine apart from 2 scraches on the side!!! And his phone is designed to take falls and knocks so i would of thought it would do better. Thats how good this is.

I just wanna say if you get offered one on these or can get hold of one for cheap or just get given take it. Not as a main phone but as a damn good back up. Keep it in your car or at home. This phone had good software that is just as good as the build.

External Aerial Is Not Too Bad, Given That The Sie

External aerial is not too bad, given that the Siemens SL45 has one and so does the Samsung SGH-A300, but the size! (Phones we used to use back then...) The phone is very out of date, (duh) and motorola are now offering the best phone on the market - the V70. (YES, IT IS BETTER THAN THE SAMSUNG T100!) Can you believe that the V70 and the M3788 are made by the same company? All I can say it that the phone did well in its time, and if you havent noticed the prices of phones in general are going up... in those days £80 would have got you a top-of-the-range phone (The Nokia 3210 for example) but now the price has gone up - £350 for an 8310 and that's not the best phone on the market...Phones we used to use those days... hehehe
