Bosch 909s

The Bosch 909s phone was simple and easy to use. Not a phone for business people or people on the go. Mostly your housewives etc.

The styling of the BOSCH 909s mobile phone is probably the best I have ever seen.

The BLUE screen makes it stand out while the BLACK AND SILVER design contrasts well together.

The phone is SMALL and neat with its li ion battery.

The SIGNEL STRENGTH is very good and the microphone and loudspeaker give comparatively CLEAR and CRISP transmission.

The BATTERY LIFE on my bosch 909 with a 650mAh li ion battery only lasts a day or so before running out.

The common 650mAh battery is TOO SMALL and INEFFICIENT ( the battery casing is actually half empty), get a 1100mAh if you can.

Also the phone might connect with another phone during a call but the LOUDSPEAKER wouldn't work. All I'd hear is an echo of my own voice.

Other than that no problems and the phone is generally quite nice to use.

I generally recommend this phone if you want a DESIGN CLASSIC but its lack of commercial support and TRIVIAL PROBLEMS make it HIGH MAINTENANCE.

I've had this Bosch 909s phone for quite some time now, and since I had it repaired there has been no problems (ok, that's not quite true, lately people have complained about a lot of noise when I talk to them on the phone, so I'll soon send it off for repair on the mike). But I love the design of this phone, a true fan, and until I really really need a phone that is capable of more tech stuff, I'll be sticking to this one. (Unless of course, a just-as-beautiful phone with more tech stuff should be released - but I don't really see it coming)

The Bosch 909s is a stylish phone. There are very few ringing tones. The phone has a tendency to switch off when squeezed in the pocket. For now i am using white masking tape to hold the battery in firmly enough.

Overall the bosch 909 deserves respect. The phone is easy to use and the blue display still turns heads even a year and a half after its purchase. The problem of it turning itself off wasn't sorted out even when sent off to bosch, but i have discovered that a leather case limits battery movement and the problem has stopped!

Overall i think the Bosch 909 is a great phone although it's nearly two years old now and will be up for replacement soon.

The Bosch 909s is a nice mobile phone, if you don't look for something special.

It looks and feels fine and makes a good impression. Unfortunately it is not a business or "girl fun" (i mean exchanging melodies and logos) thing and is a bit fragile.

Mine works without problems, except one annoying thing: the battery meter is incorrect. Almost always it shows four bars (maximum) and at the end of the battery life period it suddenly drops to zero without any intermediate steps. I should always remember when I've recharged it last :(

Everything would be ok ... But the Bosch 909s has the very bad habit of turning itself off whenever it feels like, even as I am trying to answer to a call. Playing with the battery contacts didn't help at all. And a friend of mine has the same stupid phone, with the same stupid problem.

I am currently on my 4th Bosch 909s handset as i've had continual problems since purchase. As it's no longer in production, any replacememnt handsets are re-conditioned. Problems range from general build quality of handset (mis-fitting battery covers etc) to phone switching itself on and of upon its own accord. Curiously, it states in the handbook to switch the phone off before charging yet it likes to switch itself on during charging!
