Alcatel OT-708

Budget touch screen phone offers great value overall, but the hands-free earphones provided are poor and I can't locate an adapter to let me add decent headphones. Good-looking design (mine is groovy acid green!) and an impressive battery life for a phone with so many features. Instruction manual is poor, but fortunately the phone is fairly intuitive in use.

Very pleased with this phone. The touch screen is a nice size with bright colours. I've had no trouble getting used to navigating the options, although

the system Icons are a bit small....Signal strength, battery state etc. The touch screen is very precise and only needs a light tap with a finger nail to operate. A data cable included would have been nice, but perhaps not everybody would use it. There phone is stylish and and easy to hold. Good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone! I've just downloaded the PC suite for it from the Alcatel website and am now going to have a play.....

Really clever little gadget - a good all-rounder with bluetooth and sms/mms plus musicc and optional extra music storage. Would have liked PC USB included to maximise pc and internet extras - had to buy one. Would also like memory card included - at least a small one! Touchscreen is very user friendly and have hardly had to use the stylus. Instriction book lets it down - some steps for more complicated operations are missing as some prior knowledge is assumed. Lovely touch screen operation and loads of scope for personalising and shortcuts.

Receaved as presant. Needed magnifying glass to read instruction book due to small print. Instructions vertually useless. Could switch on, but couldn't do anything else. After 5h 20m, 1h 20m, & with computor assistance for 3h 15m gave up as still unable to access menu's or get any responces. could only switch off by pressing "General" icon instead of "Power off" icon. (discovered by logic as power-off lit up general icon and vice-verca. A complete waist of 9hours 55mins. A USELESS BIT OF RUBBISH. Ratings above are minimum possable, but my ratings are MINUS 1 star.
