I know motorways are hardly exciting, but now and again, I've found myself needing the information supplied by this application with the most important feature that it's got all the Motorway Services facilities in the UK listed. Try getting that information easily from Google. It's a total unmitigated pain.

My first requirement when I'm driving down a long piece of road is to know where the next Services is located, especially if it's a long, long journey. I don't like being analogue -- that is, waiting for the next "Services: 74 miles" sign to appear. So I like the ability to immediately locate myself and the nearest Services. That's worth the £0.59 right-away.

The next thing that's actually rather useful is to determine whether the Services has got a Waitrose or a Marks & Spencer. Let's be honest, that's all that's important, right? Many a time my wife has spent ages Googling looking for a Services with an M&S whilst we journey back from a particular location. It's not only convenient to pop in and pick up something for dinner, it's also rather good to get something reasonably healthy as a snack or for lunch, rather than opting for the overpriced Wimpy burger.
