iMovie for iPhone 4

One of the key reasons I was excited about iPhone 4 was the 720p video camera. The release of a trimmed down version of iMovie interested me as the full Mac version is so easy to use, and I felt this would be ideal for a mobile device. I regularly use Adobe Premiere on my laptop and it often takes me while to produce a video... and this app helped me understand why. It is because I spend a massive amount of time trying to get things perfect by tweaking settings, options, effects, transitions.... it takes so much time.

iMovie app has very few features and options, it allows you to create clips, drop them in, trim them to size, automatically adds a transition (which you can either use cross dissolve or the 'theme' you have used), add an audio track, add intro text, use location services, and that is about it, but this WORKS! It eliminates the need to play around and change every setting, and helps you to complete the task. since I have had it, I have created 5 successful videos, including one of me running the London 10k on Sunday (to show my sponsors). I have filmed, edited and uploaded to YouTube in 720p before I got home on the train.

great app, costs a few pounds from the app store and it is soooo worth it. A great success :)
