Flixster

I first discovered Flixster when visiting a friend in Canada. He'd downloaded the App onto his iPhone and we used it to check what the local cinema was showing. It was very slick, using GPS to find your nearest cinemas and cross-referencing movie reviews and synopses with local show times.

When I found out that it also worked in the UK I was delighted. I hate having to wade through page after page of cinema listings to figure out which of the 10 cinemas nearest to me might be showing the film I'm interested in.

For a free App Flixster has an incredible amount of content and it's incredibly useful. It is my sole resource when planning a night at the movies. Even if it cost £5 I'd recommend it!
