Utterly Useless, And Full Of Gimmicks. Stay A
Utterly Useless, and Full of Gimmicks.
Stay away from it! It's a complete waste of money.
The whole thing looks cheap with equally bad photocopy-like green/white texts and smeared or smudged images. What does that tell you about Quality Control/QA, checks etc?
False claims, gimmicks and misleading guide (sort of) such as
"How to use:
Select correct adapter for your phone.
Fit battery (instead of a battery or two batteries).
Insert charger into ohone" (instead of phone).
And these are just the tip of the iceberg until you actually try to use it.
No Manual. No instructions. No make/model name. No 'Made in x' either. Nothing.
No clue on the number/type of batteries required eg alkaline only, rechargeable, both etc.
So much so, the only time AA was mentioned was in this line "AA AAA OR 9V BATTERY FOR CHARGER" on the cardboard cover which does not mean anything.
If you really want to buy this, then try this first.
Put two AA alkaline batteries in series then imsupervise to connect them to your phone socket in order to charge it. That's almost what you get. Except it's got a little switch to push for charging and a red LED (though you'll only find this info, indirectly, from the Internet! i.e No manual/instructions, labels etc). But then you can even include those components in your 2 cell circuit. And even better, you can put the whole thing in a little battery compartment to hold things together.
On a cardboard cover, too much almost illegible text in green or white on a blurry background full of blurry/low quality pictures, ambigious ads, false claims etc.
On the Internet, it 'lists' too many phone makes/models. Yet it does not work with either Nokia 3410 (3.5mm jack) or Nokia 1208 (2mm jack).
On the cover, it claims "MOBILE PHONE EMERGENCY CHARGER KIT" and it lists "NOKIA, MOTOROLA, ERICSSON, SAMSUNG, SIEMENS, SONY, LG, ALCATEL, BIRD, NEC, PHILIPS, PANASONIC, HAIVER, MITSUBISHI, GVC" without any specific models. Yet it includes only 5 connectors (2 for Nokia, 1 for SE Fastport, 1 for Samsungand for 1 Mini USB).
Other writings/low-grade graphics on the cover card include "2009 FOUR AA BATTERIES, 2059 THREE AA BATTERIES & LIGHT, TWO AA BATTERIES &LIGHT, 2069 TWO AABATTERIES &LIGHT, 2009A FOURAAA BATTERIES, 2039 V BATTERY & LIGHT ALARM, 2019 9V BATTERY, 2029 FOUR AAA BATTERIES & LIGHT".
I don't understand what other 'products' they are trying to advertise on here nor why there are so many writting mistakes, bad print quality and so on. I suppose, somebody was not 'copying' things properly! The same reason why it did not work!!
Conclustion:
It is just a battery compartment for 2 AA cells! It does't do anything else. It could not charge a new Nokia 1208/old Nokia 3410 phones with brand new Philips/CAMLINK AA batteries.
In short, don't touch it. Spent your money on something else.
I wish I had similar advice or a review before I bought this rubbish! So that I could spent my money elsewhere.
Without a doubt, the WORST product I've bought in my entire life.
PS;
Before someone criticises my negative review or attacks me with unguided missile, I urged them to try it at a shop near them!
And Yes, £4.95+£3.50 P&P is a lot of money in old Blighty esp in the middle of a bad recession.
I found this review helpful because I was about to become a distributor when I stumbled on it. However, the bad sides are rectifiable if the producers are serious about it.
