I Found My Plantronics 640 In The Dryer This Morni
I found my Plantronics 640 in the DRYER this morning, which means it was in the WASHER yesterday.
Just for sport I put it on the charger and it started to take a charge. I was going to go buy a new one but decided to see if... there is NO WAY, but if it would still work. Darn thing still works fine! Amazing.
I junked my Jabra JX10 after having it replaced 5 times for lack of volume. The Plantronics has plenty of volume and is obviously rugged. Cool!

I Am A Gadget Junkie And This Is My Fourth Bluetoo
I am a gadget junkie and this is my fourth Bluetooth headset. The included adapter tips seemed a godsend for road warriors who spend considerable time trying to reduce/combine cables and chargers lugged around. Controls and features are simple and easy to learn yet comprehensive and useful. But what good is all this if the person you're talking to can't here you for all the background noise? I'm not sure if I'm expecting something that hasn't been invented yet but the Discovery 640 does NOT perform well with moderate to high background noise. I've used it with several different phone models with the same results. Those who believe it does well must not be using it when it is most useful, while driving on the freeway or working with your hands. Still waiting for the holy grail.......
I would agree with these comments about sound quality.. Most people can't hear me very well due to background noise cancelling out my voice too! Gel ear piece is a little troublesome... one size is too large, the other too small and both sizes keep falling out of my ear.I have been using this for a year and would not recommend it if you are in the car a lot!!

Bought One Of These Plantronics Discovery 640 Blue
Bought one of these Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headsets on recommendation, at 9 grams it is very light. It does state that you don't need the ear clip to be fitted, but I would recommend you use it as it is so light it fell off a couple of times and I didn't notice.
It is superbly packaged, in a metal box with a mirror on the back...!, a wealth of adaptors (for charging using different phone chargers) and even an AAA battery to give you 15 hours of emergency standby, 3 ear gels for a good fit in most ears.
Battery life is very good considering the size of it, needed a charge every 2-3 days, but I use it a lot.
Overall the most comfortable headset I have owned, only really let down by the ear clip, which is needed if moving about and is made of wire and seems a bit cheap.
Maybe I'm being a bit unfair about the ear clip, but it is an expensive item and I expected a little better.
