Vodafone Has A Great Signal In My Area But Due To

Vodafone has a great signal in my area but due to living in a thick walled house the signal tended to drop off when walking around. I looked in to the Sure Signal box which seemed a good idea. I purchased it through a Vodafone store for £50 after a lot of research and checking that my phone does accept 3G signal and that my home broadband runs a min of 1mb. When I got it home It was so easy to setup, you just plug it in to your router and then go online to www.vodaphone.co.uk to setup the device. Once this is done it takes about 2 hours for the box to register then hey presto full 3G signal around my house. I have noticed that if my phone has even 1 bar of 3G signal it will not connect to the Sure Signal box, if it drops below this to a 2G signal it then connects to the Sure Signal box for full 3G signal. This is a great device and would recommend this to everyone who experiences problems with signal. A friend of mine also has a box and there broadband only runs at 0.3mb and there Sure Signal still works fine.

Live In An Older Property With Thick Walls, So The

Live in an older property with thick walls, so the mobile signal of any networks inside the house can be so-so. Installed a Vodafone SureSignal device - basically it just plus into a spare port on your broadband router. You need to firstly register its serial number online and add the phone numbers that you want to allow to connect. Then it will self-register itself - this takes about 1 hour. Then you will have full bar 3G coverage in your home. Works great for me...also means that my iphone battery lasts longer as it's not searching for service so much.

I'd recommend this box

I Purchased My Sure Signal Device From Vodafone In

I purchased my Sure Signal device from Vodafone in October 2009. In my opinion, the quality of the device is poor. Quite often it was not possible to have a two way conversation. It completely broke after eight months. I contacted Vodafone to report this. It was very hard to get through to the right technical support people. When I finally did they asked me to send it back, so it did this. I waited nearly two weeks and was eventually sent another broken replacement. As the unit was less than 1 year old and still under warranty, I was expecting a new replacement. The Sure Signal replacement that I received was a second user "refurbished" unit that was more broken than the one I sent back to Vodafone. It is now 5 weeks since I reported this to Vodafone and I still do not have a replacement unit that works.

Mobile phone reception in my house is very bad (even though Vodafone say I live in a good reception area). I cannot use my phone at home at all now. I'm wasting money each month on a contract that is worthless. Vodafone Customer Service are terrible. If you call out of hours you go through to an Egyptian call centre who are the worst I've ever experienced. Their UK staff aren't much better, either. I've had enough of Vodafone. Even though I still have to pay them for the duration of the contract, I'm ditching Vodafone and getting another phone/contract from O2, who were a far superior service provider.

Vodafone Signal In Out House Has Always Been Poor,

Vodafone signal in out house has always been poor, we could just about make a phone call out of a window. This lead us to look into the Vodafone sure signal box; there were very few reviews or information online so thought I should write a review.

The box costs around £50 (or £5 a month) you hook it up to the broadband modem, go online to add vodafone mobile users (up to 32), a text gets sent through and away to go.

We now have full signal throughout the house, can even make phone calls from the kitchen which has never happened before! It also gives 3G coverage everywhere. I do recommend it.

There is very little information on how it actually works though, not sure if we're using our broadband allowance by calling out or how using high bandwidth use will affect the calls, but on first impressions, its fab and worth the £50.
