Roadcom 400C

I had difficulty in obtaining a warning sound, my fault because I was not pressing the tick (OK) mark after each choice. Not emphasised in instructions.

All the warning sounds appear to be the same! ie. a burp!!!

What does OGG stand for?

When travelling not every camera is indicated.

The windscreen suction pad works well but I could not find a place where my view was not obstructed so I taped the mounting bracket to the fascia.

Bought as a gift for father, have own Garmin but paid serious money, now know why. The unit has failed to find a signal and keeps guessing I am am 40 odd miles away, I will be taking it back and demanding afull refund as whilst only £49.99 could have got a map book for under a £10 and it would have been more use!!!!

Just after 1yr my TOMTOM failed to start the map after loading. I am good in gadgets. I tried a whole day to sort out after sync with comp as per tomtom advice-reloading application, formatting etc. nothing worked.I did not want to spend another £100 for navigator. I found new navigator Roadcom 400C for £49 in currys. Did not want to take risk but 3yr cover was only £11.I bought it with suspicion so not happy for 1 day until I learnt to use. Now I realise it is much better than TOMTOM and half its price!. My street (longsands lane in preston) has got 1 way entry and exit from eastway which tomtom doesnot show. I was surprised Roadcom had updated map, also of my friends new built area, knowles wood drive in chorley which tomtom does not show!. Also TomTom had errors in few of my previus journeys. Many Manuals are in Roadcom online-confusing-I think route 66 mini and maxi-but can call customer support if any doubt.
