This Sat-nav Is Not The Easiest To Set Up, And I C

This Sat-Nav is not the easiest to set up, and I can understand why people have given it a frosty response. I won mine in a competition and wasn't fussed about it one bit; always believing they were for poor and inexperienced drivers. I work in the motor industry and have used numerous GPS systems, and I rate it in the top 3. We never want to read instructions, believing we can fumble our way through, however if you treat the 7000 with this blase attitude it will appear to under perform and subsequently be branded a 'wannabe'. Read and digest the options menu and with a little patience you will have one of the best GPS' you can buy. I cover around 45000 business miles per year, and I would not leave home without it !!

Absolute piece of rubbish. Maps out of date. Camera alerts inaccurate. If you cancel your subscription the Road Angel Navigator 7000 unit mysteriously stops working. Better use your money on a good A-Z.

Road Angel Navigator 7000 Is A Very Annoying Satna

Road Angel Navigator 7000 is a very annoying satnav. The map freezes on a regular bases and sometimes asks you to do a "u" turn for no apparent reason even when you know for a fact you are heading the right direction.

This Is The Most Annoying And Frustrating Satnav I

This is the most annoying and frustrating satnav I have ever had the misfortune to use (and I have used several over quite a few years).

It is useless!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH.

Overall I Am Happy With My Purchase, It Works Very

Overall I am happy with my purchase, it works very well. You just have to take your time when setting up. As I said with mine,it was unstable, kept crashing and re-starting every few minutes. Drove me mad, I thought it was broken. Managed to update the sat. nav. over the net using microsoft active sync (free download) and it has worked perfectly since that moment. The active sync program will ask you if you want to sychronise the device, say YES even though the instruction booklet says to say NO. After the synchronisation you should be able to download the update into the unit and all will be well........with any luck. Have fun....

Not A Bad Idea, But In Practical Terms Very Diffic

Not a bad idea, but in practical terms very difficult to use. The instruction booklet is poor, with no index and no FAQ that tell anything useful. Vital information is obscure or missing completely. The unit is complex to use and far from intuitive. I am sure most buyers get nothing like the full value because it's so hard to use. If that wasn't bad enough, some map details are wrong as well.

A serious amount of extra thought needs to go into design both of software and the instruction book before this can be recommended.
