NDrive Touch XL SE

Having bought an NDrive Touch XL SE Sat-Nav on Ebay, which was brand new in all its wrapping, etc, I visited their web-site to buy and download an additional map. The sat-nav had Version-9 installed and I was advised I should update the unit to Version-10 before buying and installing additional maps as they may not work properly with the older Version. I downloaded the recommended Version-10, which took over 3.5 hours to do. Anyway, after the download/update, the unit wouldn't work anymore with a warning message stating, the voice files were faulty, and that was it!

NDrive did try to help in several ways after I contacted them, with emailed zip-files & instructions so I could try installing their software at home - but it only made things worse. I ended up posting my faulty unit to their address in Portugal ( the expensive postage would've paid for the map I needed!!! ) and any feedback from them has been almost non-existant. I'm left without any knowledge of what's happening or how my unit is being handled. All in all, I'm left completely dissappointed and out of pocket with no unit or appology whatsover. I guess it'll have to be a Tom-Tom or a Garmin now - but it wont be another NDrive - ever!!! I will admit to writing an awful letter to them about the unit and the poor backup, apologising for it too as it was bad - although in hindsight I now reckon they deserved it after all.
