Initially I was very pleased with this unit. It gave a good quality of sound through my car's standard speakers and when I added an amplifier and new speakers it got better. Unfortunately, 13 months after I bought the stereo it has developed a fault where it takes about 30 minutes to switch on after I have put the face unit on and started the car, another 15 minutes to start playing music and then continues to play music 5 minutes after I have removed the face unit and switched the engine off! One of the buttons on the unit is always lit up, even when the keys are not in the ignition and I have ended up taking the whole stereo out because I was worried that it would drain my battery, or do some other kind of damage to my electrical system.
This has made my commute into work a very boring affair!
I would be willing to write this fault off as unlucky, but I spent £500 on a home cinema system from Panasonic (SC DT100 see my comments) which also developed a fault just after the manufacturers warranty ran out. I have had no luck yet from the Panasonic customer enquiries/complaints division (I cant even get through to them yet!!!) I will update/add a comment when I have managed to get a response.
