Autodesk Inventor Gets The Job Done

Each release of Autodesk Inventor shows the committment of Autodesk to produce an outstanding parametric solid modeling software that is user friendly. Another often overlooked attribute is that Inventor is taught at many community college's providing a low cost training opportunity for companies. Many community colleges will offer upon request short term classes scheduled to accomodate the employer.

Inventor Professional 2011

one of the easiest interfaces to navigate, easily constrained and the parametrical data can be automaticaly added. the rendering quality can be fine tuned, and formated in many different video outputs. It can use a lot of ram so its best suited to su=ystems with at least 6 gig. You can export the saved files in various formats to suit solidworks and pro engineer as well asbeing ableto send them to adobe to render out posters. all in all it is probably the best 3d modelling and analysing software packages on the market today.

I'm certified in Solidworks, and had to learn Inventor while working for Philips North America. Now I'm not gonna get into a pissing contest on which is better. They both have merit, and found certain things easier with each. The mate feature is marginally easier to use in Inventor, but the rendering in SW 2012 is amazing, and you wont have to learn 3DS. The pricing was similar, but I bought Solidworks
