At the start there was antivirus, then spyware (1999?) and finally malware. I think malwarebytes started approx 2005 at the time that companies were moving towards solutions for all types of infections. At first this was a useful product and I bought a premium license in 2011. It was a great additional scanner in any situation however the latest version brings up false positives. I got an email from wisecleaner with instructions on how to stop MBAM from preventing their programmme starting. My advice would be to use this product alongside a normal security suite like norton,kaspersky or bitdefender. Have a look at tests on youtube and you see that people want more out of this product. Zemana gets much better reviews.

Yes you have to continue with your regular antivirus, but adding this software just gives you added protection and there is no conflict between malwarebytes and your regular antivirus. Cleaning up your computer is a real headache or costs you some money if you need to farm it out to a third party so anything that keeps you working is worth having.

Over many years I have uses various versions of Norton, McAfee, etc. and all have worked to a limited degree. However, after scanning with a recent McAfee version, my computer was allegedly cleaned. But after loading Malwarebytes and scanning, over 200 issues were detected including pups and Trojans. Annoying popups have been eliminated and intrusions are automatically detected and eliminated daily.

I am a simple PC user and this software is by far the best ever! I recommend Malwarebytes to any level user.

Within five minutes Malwarebytes had found not one, two or three but FIVE...FIVE Trojans on my machine.

I have the premium version, and I couldn't hardly type this review from all of the adware and pop ups. So I would say that I am not pleased.

I recently got a virus/trojan onto my new laptop, Mcafee didnt detect it, didnt stop it getting onto my machine so I had to quickly turn my PC off and put it into safe mode with networking, downloaded Malwarebytes and updated it to the current version and let it scan away, was very quick and detected the problem, removed it and asked me to restart my laptop, started back up into Normal mode and to be on the safe side did a check again with it, and it was gone.

I run it alongside Norton on my desktop, and yeah never encountered anything as yet.

Running it alongside McAfee now on my laptop, cause I feel McAfee doesnt do anything.

Malwarebytes: Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin, removes virus' that PROPER PAID applications dont detect and gets rid of them so you can have your healthy machine back.

when we had 65 computer threats on one of my dads employees computers AVG managed to fix 37 of them. not bad, but we needed to get something more, now we have malwarebytes anti-virus i can recommend to everyone. ever since we had it installed we have had literally no, 0, nothing, threats on our computers, when we still go on occasional online game sites its nice to know the product keeps us problem free. AVG is not that bad either, in fact it is great value, we even have the two procuts together.
