Just Avoid Please.

Im not one for writing reviews but every now and again you get a company who is just so bad you have to say something. Ive had 4 years with this shower but no more. As it stands there website clearmymail domain has not been renewed so it has expired!! Clearmymail is up occasionally, there is no phone number to contact them, I cannot access any emails from the pop3 server, an absolute disgrace of a company who wouldn't know the meaning of customer service if it smacked them in the face, the service is down more than its up no matter what stats they say, dreadful dreadful company, please find an alternative.

Agree with all that has been said about CMM.I not long ago paid a renewal - so wish I hadn't............

Who Cares.

This would be the attitude of Clearmymail. They are not apologetic about zero service, no, in fact, they like it, they are fond of it. Friday Happy Hour, champagne toasting you ...... grovelling for a favor. Having a good laugh at these .......... out there. "We do a darn good job on your behalf, so .... you," seems to be the attitude. You certainly couldn't improve on that degree of honesty, at best camouflaged to varying degrees by all other companies called upon to provide service.

Tried endless ways and more than multiple times to get attention but of course in vain. Hence a mountain of mail piled up with them for a paid-up service with a dysfunctional pop address. Every week I get their auto message encouraging me to do something about it. What a laugh and what a .... company. Help! Someone name me a company that stops spam as they do & provides a reply to my email - perhaps ONCE a year. I wouldn't be demanding. Even pay more!

No Customer Service

Been with CMM since it started. The service has recently gone downhill like a rocket. The website seems unable to update new settings. I changed my mail password but it will not save the update. So it does not pick up my mail. Then I get an automated mail message about my mail not working! DOH!

As usual with CMM no customer support what so ever.

One review says its gone bust. If thats true I'm not surprised. For a basic simple money making service that should be a breeze to run, they seem to make a mess of it.

Same...was great for years. Just bought another 2 year subscription but it was credited to my old account and now I can't get any tech support to change it. ZERO RESPONSE for over 4 weeks now...If they haven't gone bust they will soon at this rate

Gone Bust..?

We have been with these clowns since 2009 and there has been consistent problems but bearable to a business. That is until recently, they havent responded to emails since July and their system went down 3 days ago and still isnt back up. Nobody ever responds.

I have spoken to Trading Standards who have advised they display no company contact information on their website which is against the law and their accounts show as credit rating suspended as they have been consistently over £100K in debt for last 3 years.

Dont go anywhere near them, we have asked our bank to do a chargeback, seems as if they wont be coming back this time.

Effective Spam Filtering. Erratic Service.

Does a pretty powerful job of intercepting spam, with an option to allow or deny any that it's unsure about. Easy to set up, simply point it to your POP3 mailbox and it fetches everything, discarding spam and letting you colelct what's left. It has stopped nearly 100,000 spams over the duration and has been a boon when using eg a mobile to check mail. This is much easier than having to set up a domain's DNS to point to a third partys ervice.

Problem is, when things go wrong, eg when their hosted service goes down there is no customer information at all. In fact not even their website works. Users are left totally in the dark with CMM sitting on our inbound mail. Maybe they don't even know that it's stopped working...

One disappointed long-time customer, time to start looking elsewhere.

No Service When Problems Arise

I've been using CMM for about 3 years, all ok.

Suddenly they tell me (automated) my password is incorrect and They can't send my emails to me.

My password hasn't changed.

I go through the 'lost password' sequence and they send me the original password but IT DOESN'T WORK TO LOG IN TO CLEAR MY MAIL even though they've just sent it to me.

All support is automated just the same email saying my password is incorrect. I did get one reply to an email (rather than the form) but it said it's your ISP at fault. RUBBISH SUPPORT.

It was a good service for me but lack of support means only 2 stars.

My Client Was Recommended This Service By A Webdes

My client was recommended this service by a webdesigner that swore by there perfect service.

That says nothing for those who trust there webdesigners skills in IT, but making things look pretty is more there area. IT been a pain in the Bottom for support which is done by spuradic emails when they feel like it.

The BTOPENWORLD servers are ignoring Clearmy mails pickups and they are none the wiser as too why or how, this is happening. They are less interested in security settings for secure pop mail collection of boxes also.

We have since had to use two spam filters one was theres because they could not poll BT's servers.

Forget it, the service is pants, and if anyone at Clearmy mail did care about there service they would provide a Phone number to talk to humans not a email box.

In case anyone out there in IT land has a clue,

IT engineers and administrators do not have all day to sit around and bounce pointless emails back and forth like some discussion. WHEN are you going to learn this. !???

We expect your tech support teams to look at a problem in detail before you take hand to keyboard. After you've looked at the problems and history and logs,

that is when we expect you to have the decency to pickup a phone and speak to a human not cower behind a keyboard.

Welcome to the world of customers service. IT is 2011, sorry to point out the facts of life.

I just have to say to anyone, if the/ANY company DOES not have a phone to speak to a human, YES even if its a INDIAN call centre then they are not worth wasting a pound on.

Excuses from management, like "phone ansering people cost money are rubbish" what they really mean is don't upset the IT guy whilst he playing his online game and chatting to his mates with his headphones on gaming.

FIX??

Get a spam filter in your antivirus Kaspsersky or CA or Bullgaurd, which you should have before anyway.?? If your a mac create some simple spam rules, they wont take you long.

Or create a ONLINE free email box with FLEXIT net ISP for life and they will vet and forward mail for you. They also have a 24hr 365 days support line too.

Yes Clearmymail Stops Spam - But... Their Service

Yes Clearmymail stops spam - but... their service is not reliable. I've been a customer for over three years and, at the time of writing, their website and customer mail collection service is offline, again. This is the 3rd time in as many weeks with one outrage lasting more than 7 hours.

Likes: Does what it promises.

Dislike: Offline to often to benefit a serious business.

My advice? Try it for yourself. It's a cheap service - just be aware that you may not be able to access your legitimate email when you'd like to.

While It Blocks Spam Well When It's Working, There

While it blocks spam well when it's working, there have been too many times now over the past year where it stopped working and I got no email at all. It takes too long for anyone to resolve the issue and so I am now going to find another spam blocker even though I still have many months left in my subscription

I was previously using ClearMyMail and found it very good, but get no response when I try to contact them. Are they still operating, and if not is there a comparable spam filtering service that allows you to *Accept once *Accept all *Block once *Block all ?
