Poor Design Program

After making the transition from Fusion, I have been very disappointed with the Articad software. The user interface is very poor and there are many things that should be easy to do that just aren't. VR view to quickly look at your design in 3d is terrible!

For basic plans it is fine but the program just isn't sophisticated enough for complex designs and you end up having to implement multiple "workarounds" which takes so much time and looks sub standard if your don't spend the time to get it right.

The rendering is good and you can get some good images if you take the time to set up the scene but this can take hours.

The main issue I have is how slow planning has now become with Articad which is one of their main selling points. I am an experienced designer with a lot of technical knowledge in 3d design and even I struggle to speed up the process.

I will happily amend this review if they improve the program which it sorely need to do.

Awful Dont Subject Yourself Too This Product

It draws great images but there are so many errors on the catalogues it just destroys your will too live. The pricing system KBB which it links too is equally full off bugs. Just go buy something like fusion or winnerflex that is an all in one system its easier

After A Year When Free Support Ends . That It Unle

After a year when free support ends . That it unless you subscribe £460 a year when I paid £2600 for software no downloads of new items from new suppliers.

So stuck in the past unless you pay how rubbish is that.

When I wasn’t told when bought this product.

Cought out big time.

Bathcad - Bad Upgrade Decision!!!

Upgraded from v18 to v20....BIG mistake. V18 worked OK, but was very lacking in suppliers images. Upgraded to v20 which is just awful. It does not render properly leaving black pixels on chrome objects that you cannot get rid of, walls are defined wrong, VERY slow to render in HD (even with a decent PC). Tech support cannot fix the issues just telling me to wait for the next version with some bug fixes! and they do not even know when that would be. Cannot even revert back to v18 as they do not have a download or CD in the company!

Pity, could be really good but is terribly flawed.

Asking for full refund and now buying Compusoft....soooo much better and easier to use.

Articad, Bathcad V18.5

Just purchased, having spent the last year researching various software ///my only gripe and it is only a small one it is only available on a windows platform, being a Mac user ...this is overcome by using VMWare virtual machine ..(VMware are excellent to deal with back up superb)...the only problems you are likely to get is with windows!!!!!!!!!!

The version we have is 18.5 build 9, as I said did a lot of research, make sure all the 3d models are there you require, they will alter or adapt for you if required, training course excellent, back up & service to date has been very good, we find it very easy to use and would definitely recommend. The drawings and graphics you can produce are of very high quality...really like it

I Would Never Buy This Again. Bad Decision

I'm so disappointed with this purchase. Its relatively easy to use once you've been on the training course but we expected to be able to access drawings from many of our suppliers only to find that NONE of them are compatible with this software. It's ok if you're prepared to spend ages looking for generic or other branded alternatives that look similar to the product you are specifying but this takes time and means we take ages to do a plan in the customers home.

The other issue I have is how difficult they have made it to move the licence around from computer to computer. I fully appreciate why they have done this but again its pretty much made it impossible to use. If you need to use your licence on more than one computer (maybe at home sometimes or an office computer instead of a laptop) then forget it. It's complicated and not at all customer friendly and you run the risk of not being able to use it when you need it most as you may have forgotten to cancel the temporary licence elsewhere. They've concentrated too much on protecting their licensing with little consideration for their customers. We aren't all out to abuse a 1 user licence but sometimes genuinely need to access the software on another computer from time to time.

Read your review having just purchased it ..Take all your points on board....i have to say possibly a wee bit harsh ...you know when you purchase it is only for one licence...We made sure all our 3d models were available ..they even created/altered some for us...find the program very easy to operate, & course excellent....Having done a lot of research for the last year it really is the best around in my opinion.

And the after sales service to date has been excellent ...sorry to differ so much.

It Is A Capable Product, But The Usability Is Lack

It is a capable product, but the usability is lacking and the help features not being that complete.

Once you get used to the quirks (which does takes some time and experimentation) you will be able to quickly create your designs.

Articad Pro V14 Is The Worst Software Ever They Ha

ArtiCAD Pro v14 is the worst software ever they have to many bugs which you have to call about and get a patch for. They make you sign up for the support for the year but they are not helpful, they are rude and don't call back in time.

When you sign up for the software the sales men pitch it to you as if you are getting a great deal but the contract states otherwise

They are the worst company that I have every dealt with and would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
