I Purchased This Printer And Was Overjoyed At The
I purchased this printer and was overjoyed at the price, setup was a breeze print quality was good perhaps a bit bright but having had several inkjets dry out due to not being used this seemed the solution unfortunately after about 200 copies and out of warranty the black print started banding and it will cost more to fix than i paid for the printer and looking around the net it seems that i am not alone.
So my advise would be to have a look at the reports before you buy.

Samsung Clp-300 Constantly Goes Into Offline Statu
Samsung CLP-300 constantly goes into offline status for no apparent faults. After six months of this, I am getting rid of it. The worst printer I've owned.

Was Pleased At First But Have Decided To Put It In
Was pleased at first but have decided to put it in the wheelie bin and buy a new printer from someone other than Samsung - the constant paper jamming is unbearably irritating and time-consuming. I would not recommend this printer.

This Printer Is Everything That Is Claimed For It.
This printer is everything that is claimed for it. At this price and performance there seems little point in ever buying a monochrome laser printer for home use again. I am absolutely delighted with my little CLP-300. Compared to ink-jet colour printing, it is much lower cost. And with the separate black cartridge, printing black text is comparable in cost to using a monochrome laser. Lasers are not truly photo-quality, but the results from this one are not far off - I do have some pictures from it in frames - and for everyday purposes the colour reproduction and clarity are excellent. Print quality is everything you would expect of a laser printer. The replacement cartridges can be bought singly as needed, or as a set of four.
I wrote this review four years ago and I stand by every word. Since purchase the printer has been in regular but not heavy family use, with two children frequently using it for homework. I have replaced some of the toner cartridges (pricey, but they do a good stint), a few times the printer has stalled for no obvious reason but always restarted if the access points were opened and closed. Paper jams almost never. I have had ample money's worth from it and would buy another, or its Samsung successor, without hesitation.
