My Stylus C84 was great at 1st. Then it started printing blank pages. The print nozzles get clogged & the printer is basically shot.
Another really annoying problem, is won't perform the head cleaning procedure when color cartridges are empty, even tho the black is full. Cleaning the heads used up all of my color ink, without fixing the problem.
I'm left with lots of black ink, but I'm stuck with a printer that won't do anything.
Customer service call was OK. The gal was friendly & helpful, & determined my nozzles were clogged, & gave me the phone #'s for the nearest service centers.

This printer uses a lot of expensive ink, and it has variable quality, despite good maintenance. It has now stopped printing altogether for no apparent reason. It is easy to install, but that's about it.

I Had A Epson C84 And It Worked Fine For About One
I had a Epson C84 and it worked fine for about one year and then everything went wrong. It seems to just lose all of its print quality and barely prints at all. This happens even after you change all of the printer cartridges. Now I have a printer that is for useless and several brand new cartridges that are useless. On top of this my previous printer was an Epson C64 which did the exact same thing. I had read that the little hose(s) that go from the ink to whatever separate and cause this to happen. Epson refuses to take any responsibilty regarding this equipment problem. I have officially been bitten twice from Epson and intend NEVER to purchase another Epson printer in my lifetime!!
Epson also tends to tell you all of the ink is gone from the cartridge when in reality you do have ink left to use. Another rip-off!!

After 12 Months With The Epson C84 Inkjet Printer.
After 12 months with the Epson C84 inkjet printer... I give up. The first lot of cartridges worked well, and since then, despite paying for Epson cartridges, it has never worked right. I have used up a whole set of cartridges, and have not had a single readable print out of it. It now just sits there flashing it's red lights at me.
Does anybody want a very expensive, bulky pair of flashing red LED's? Cheap and only 12 months old?

My Theory Is The Only Way Epson C84 Inkjets Are Wo
My theory is the only way Epson C84 inkjets are worth it is to buy them cheap on the internet and toss them after the ink runs out to get back at these companies that make this rubbish. I know plenty of people who do.
Anybody want to buy $150 in have used ink cartriges these three printers left orphaned?
Buy a good laser printer, they last 10 years.

My Epson C84 Inkjet printer refused to print following the first cartridge change. All the head cleaning in the world only emptied the cartridges, but didn't get it printing again!!

I Originally Bought My Epson C84 In December, 2003
I originally bought my Epson C84 in December, 2003. This unit failed (print line had blank and uneven printing) in August, 2004. Epson sent me a rebuilt unit on 8/12/04 which failed in a few days, another unit on 8/19/04 which was dead on arrival and another unit on 8/21/04 which failed (same problem) 0n 7/29/05. According to Epson the warranty dates to the original purchase date so I am out of luck! I'll never buy another Epson printer.
