Using Substitute Inks Is Awkward, Because The Chip
Using substitute inks is awkward, because the chip needs transferring from the original. In any case, the compatibles aren't as good, they have a lasting bad effect AND they invalidate the warranty.
The real Canon inks really aren't too bad a price because they do have a decent amount in the cartridges and last well. I do recommend Canon PIXMA printer.
