I Did Not Think This Printer Was Still For Sale. I

I did not think this printer was still for sale. I have had the R200 for some years without using it much but even after replacing the yellow cartridge, as requested, it refuses to function at all. The machine no longer comes to life. Took it to a computer repairer who said it is not worth fixing. There seems to be some OEM hardware built in to these machines to stop them working after a certain length of time and/or use. I would call that cheating the customer.

Messy Ink Cartridge Changes That Finishes Before T

Messy ink cartridge changes that finishes Before Total Ink.

Amounts have run out!?

Good sharp imagery using CMYK inks that can be replaced

Individually. For it's price band it has excellent Dpi definition.

All things considered this Epson printer follows on the well

Established quality product ethics at a reasonable price level.

Has given excellent service over several years. Great photo printer. Uses compatible inks, and therefore cheap to run.

This Was A Good Printer For A While, But After Abo

This was a good printer for a while, but after about three changes of ink cartridges it has completely frozen up and won't print black at all (because the color ink is used up). No bypass of one color, don't recommend this Epson Stylus printer.

Excellent Print Quality When Working, But It Uses

Excellent print quality when working, but it uses tons of ink, and paper jams started when printer was 1 month out of warranty, will not load any media, nothing is wrong with it visually and it's had light duty in the previous 12 months. VERY dissatisfied with it breaking down totally so soon after end of warranty, but then my HP scanner did the same, died for no reason at 13 months old *sigh* - I rate this printer 10/10 IF working

We Were Very Disappointed With This Printer!

We were very disappointed with this printer!

The ink cartridges are very small and inefficient

We've had 3 Epson Stylus printers - this is the last

Weve now bought a CANON multi for 39.99 its fast, very quiet and more efficient!

I Have Had Numerous Printers And This R200 Was The

I have had numerous printers and this R200 was the worst! I received the printer it had a major problem. Although it had a warranty, Epson refused to believe me. They proposed I follow a rota and write how many pages I have printed and how much ink used. With every phone call the day that the warranty finished grew nearer. Then when I had had enough they told me that they would not fix the printer because I had only 1 week til the warranty finished! The printer has now broken down on it's own accord.

This Is My Third Epson Inkjet Printer Which I Boug

This is my third Epson inkjet printer which I bought primarily for the printing on CD/DVD function. The best quality prints are obtained by using good quality coated, glossy or satin paper (not necessarily branded) - I have found that all the Epson inkjet printers perform better in this way. I only use compatible inks and this has been fine. The best photo quality prints do take a while to print but I feel they are worth it. I have owned the R200 for about 2 years and the only problems have been when the nozzles clog up through lack of use. However, just recently it does seem to be leaving smudges behind on the paper edges indicating that there might be a problem. The ink is easily changed, you just slot the new cartridge in and replace the hinged lid - you don't need to press down hard.

I've started having the black smudge especially on CD's, small dots and smudges. I can't see anything mechanical wrong with it. So it must be the print head. I changed the black cartridge and it went away. Today I changed the cyan cartridge and it came back. This is my 4th printer in 13 years, my second Epson, none of them last. HP is the worst.
