I've Owned My Toshibal L10 Since The End Of 2004,
I've owned my Toshibal L10 since the end of 2004, and it's been a wonderful experience owning this machine. It's a stable, well-built and extremely practical machine.
In all these years, it's never put a foot wrong. The battery had lost it's breath, but that was expected given the length of use. The speakers seem to have malfucntioned, but on closer inspection revealed a slight carbon build-up.
Overall, it's an extremely good value for money, and it's practically and reliability is TOP-NOTCH.
Toshiba had discontinued this product line in favor of other models, but for me the L10 series was a life-saver.
As for me, my next laptop will also be ................... A TOSHIBA !

Since December 2005 my laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 works finely, it'd never let me down, easy to use, simple configurations but my battery is not good since the beginning, I'd never changed it. I like this computer!!! My only problem with that is the fact that i like to play pc games that require more screen quality, i have to change the graphic card and the virtual memory. I understand that it's not possible to change graphic card on laptops so i decide to change the laptop unfortunately!!!! I want the same laptop but with higher configurations so i can play my games and do my video making off!!! I'm really sad when i think about the fact i gotta let it go for another one cuz it is my BAAby,snif...Alright i'm out!!! Thanxxxxxxxx

I Have Owned My Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 Since Se
I have owned my Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 since Sept 2005 and have used it 8-10hrs everyday and it has never let me down once. I did upgrade the memory to 1Gb and install a 160Gb hard disk which is probably why the fan blows constantly (my own fault!).I am particularly impressed with the construction - I have killed many laptop in the past but this one has lasted the distance. It has slid about in back of cars, being knocked about in bags, being dropped from a desk, has been stood on and has even been left in sub-zero temperatures with any problems.Unfortunately I need a more powerful laptop now as windows software has moved on in terms of resource requirements and whilst this laptop will still run the latest software, its just not quite as quick as everyone else's laptop in the office. However this laptop is still perfect for running the latest distributions of Linux.I have owned a lot of different laptops and I think this one is my favorite because it has latest so long, provided faultless service and yet cost so little. Well done Tosh!

Easy to use, Great build quality from a leading brand. Nice slim design and performs very well. Battery lost capacity after 18 months but a replacement was found easily via the web for £40.
All in all a fantastic buy.

Just Be Careful About Learning How To Get With The
Just be careful about learning how to get with the platform - something you should do about ANY computer you're thinking about purchasing.
I would truly recommend this machine, mainly if you're starting. I own this one for 1 year and a half, first owner, and there's not much you can do to destroy the machine if you're a dummy, believe me, my boyfriend tried it and he just couldn't (LOL)... As he learned the basics about WinXP, he can do very well without me now, indeed.
I honestly think about purchasing another notebook, but maybe I just go for an upgrade (hd and RAM) and go on with this one. I once was told that these Japs work well on 'puters - I agree, they REALLY do!

Just Took Delivery Of The Toshiba Satellite Pro L1
Just took delivery of the Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 today. Initial impressions extremely good. First laptop I've owned so nothing to compare it directly with but I bought my first computer 23 yrs ago.
Simple to use & set up, keyboard feels good quality, touchpad (new to me!) took a bit of getting used to but soon became 2nd nature. Machine works swiftly and precisely with no crashes or lockups. Price of £570 fro laptops direct was very competitive for a machie with a 1.6GHz Centrino, half meg of ram & 40Gb HD. Doesn't have a DVD burner but I don't need one - CD burner fine for me. Bundled software not great, but to me that means I'm spending my money on the machine, and not last year's applications. Bundled XP pro is a big plus though. Speakers are tinny, but you can connect better ones/ headphones. Graphics are fine so long as you don't want to play video games and screen is clear and bright. Perfectly OK for watching DVD movies too.
All in all an excellent package and unless you're looking to burn DVDs or play games, or need more than 40Gb HD and I don't work for Toshiba. Honest
Q&A
I would like to buy a used laptop. What should the price be without a battery?
