Have Had This Sony Vaio Laptop Since They Came Out

have had this Sony VAIO laptop since they came out with no problems screen is exceptional i use it at home and work and it still out performs a lot of newer laptops Am only now thinking of up grading memory etc. I can't think of anything that would make me want to change it has to be the best £700 pounds spent (I got a really good deal with other sony products). Would get another sony when this dies, a computor geek friend called it all show and no go but it out perfomed his (superior) laptop all the time

I Got One Of These Laptops A Couple Of Years Ago A

I got one of these laptops a couple of years ago and have had no problems at all with it. This screen quality is excellent, far better than the screen on the Dell work laptop which is less than 6 months old. The build quality is excellent and still looks good compared to newer laptops.

... For Me The Laptop Did Start To Break Down Quit

... for me the laptop did start to break down quite easily, i.e... dvd player/writer has a bit of a mind of its own! If someone can help here, would be very much appreciated to leave a comment, would be great if it was the Sony vaio help vice.

This Computer Has The Feel Of Quality, It Is Light

This computer has the feel of quality, it is lightweight and the wireless range is truly excellent - almost double my other laptop with aerial in the screen. But (and I know that you shouldn't start a sentence with an injunction but I want this point to stand out) there is a severe problem caused by the processor cooling system overheating. When it does the system sometimes fails to go to standby and the computer gets hot enough to boil eggs (or burn your legs!). Fires have been reported and I can quite believe this. I have just written a 22 month old Vaio off - the motherboard was blackened and carbonised!

Sony must address this problem but this isn't the motor industry so don't expect a recall!

Sony Have No Competition When It Comes To Laptop S

Sony have no competition when it comes to laptop screens, as they use a X-Black LCD technology. I don't know what it is, but it works because it's crystal clear and nice on the eyes.

The Sony VGN-FS315M laptop is fast as well, and upgradable, which is rare in current laptops. It has 512MB RAM, which can be upgraded to 2GB if needed. Another 512MB costs just £40.

The laptop uses Intel Pentium M technology, and has a NVIDIA Geoforce 6400 graphics card, and an 80GB drive, plus wireless built-in technology.

OK, Sony is more expensive than your average or cheap laptops. This cost £899, but the extra is fully justified.
