Sony VAIO VGN-BX61MN

Good points: Sony Vaio's have a good reputation and are considered at the higher end of the market. They are easy to use and have a good design.

Bad points: The keyboard!!! all of a sudden the keyboard began to fall to pieces when the laptop was just over a year old. normally, the keys should be able to be removed to clean underneath, however they would not clip back on.

my computer isn't under warranty anymore so rather than stretch for the extortionate factory repair prices, I thought i'd buy another keyboard online until i looked at the prices, I haven't been able to find a USED keyboard for under a £100!!

the problem seems to be that sony design each series uniquely so any old keyboard wouldn't do, it had to be one specifically for the BX series and i couldn't justify that ammount of money for a keyboard that I knew was faulty.

needless to say, i am currently saving for an acer or samsung. Sony vaio's are expensive and definitely not worth the money i paid, especially considering dell keyboards coast as little as £20.

after a year and a quarter and over £600 this isn't what i expected from a trusted company. save your money and go with something a bit cheaper but more reliable
