Toshiba Laptop batteries www.goodbattery.co.uk

I bought a replacement laptop battery for a Toshiba laptop as a Christmas gift from Goodbattery.co.uk. Item was shipped from China with P&P of £6. It worked for a day before refusing to take a charge. The company said that to get a refund I must return the battery for testing to their warehouse.....in CHINA! So I spent another £6.50 on P&P to return the battery to them. After 3 weeks and a number of emails to them, they finally got back to me to say that they had received the battery and it was indeed faulty. I asked for a full refund of the item price, which they did after three more emails from myself reminding them.

But they reimbursed the wrong Paypal account. And the reimbursement was £2 less than what I paid. They claimed it was less as they applied a restocking fee, in complete contravention of their returns policy which only applies a restocking fee if the goods are non-defective.

The only good thing I can say is that they kept the communication going, although at times I did feel like my emails were being put on hold. But after losing £12.50 on P&P, another £2 to their bureaucracy and waiting 6 wks to get a partial resolution there is little positive I can say about the company.

Avoid at all costs.
