HP Pavilion dv7

Delivery excellent,

Everything in the box, all worked great.

Upgraded to Windows8 using HP upgrade offer.

Very Pleased.

Overall I am pleased with the general performance. Really nice screen, keyboard & mousepad, Intel Core i3 chip not noticeably slower than the i5 which I also tested (unless you are doing high end video editing etc). I watch Freeview TV using a USB dongle and Windows 7 is very impressive (very stable), everything Vista ought to have been.

Only problems I have noticed:

1. Higher built in loud-speaker volumes causes a slight rattle on right hand side of keyboard which is corrected by putting a magazine on top of the keyboard. There ia a video of this isuue on YouTube and some people might find it very annoying!

2. Battery life is not amazing but I only use this laptop as home so not a big deal for me personally.

3. Have had a few issues burning certain music files to disc but cannot be sure if it's the DVD drive or my blank discs.

I had an Acer Aspire 5630 before and the HP build quality seems much better (aside from speaker-keyboard buzzing issue above).
