I Needed To Replace My Aging Desktop Recently, And
I needed to replace my aging Desktop recently, and narrowed my search down to HP and Toshiba. Just as I was about to take the plunge, Vista arrived, making my initial choice totally impractical.
As I recall, the Pavilion Range is designed primarily as an entertainment Laptop. It looked, however, very well Specc'd, and the day that John Lewis got them in stock, I went to look at one and was sold on it there and then.
Not only does it look stunning, it packs a hell of a punch performance-wise thanks to its Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Sure, you'll pay a Premium for anything with this type of engine, but GOD it's quick. The very fact that it has this, and a staggering 160Gb Hard-drive, coupled with 2Gb RAM made it, for me, as good a Business Model as it is entertainment.
Worth a look if you want High Performance in an attractive, lightweight shell.
