I Have A Dv-2750ea And When It Worked It Was Good.
I have a DV-2750ea and when it worked it was good... but it overheats even though it has always been used with a airflow/heatpad to allow for totally unrestriced airflow (to aviod any overheating issues) It has failed and HP know about this design fault and poor choice of graphics chip do not care. You cannot even talk to them to discuss a repair as it is next to impossible to speak to a person without paying a premium telephone cost. I have purchased 5 HP laptops for my family 4 HP printers in the past 5years and I can assure HP that without help I for one will never purchase HP again. Shame on you HP. This should have been recalled as it was in the USA You know of the fault and have made no effort to "keep your customers" Oh well... your loss... I also work retail and will do everything in my power to direct customers elsewhere.
To add to this in the past year my efforts have given HP my freinds and extended family business a total of 23 laptop sales ... this ends now.
Do NOT BUY HP YOU WILL PAY FOR IT AT THE END OF THE DAY POOR SERVICE

I Bought My Dv2221us In Jan 2007. About Six Monhs
I bought my dv2221US in Jan 2007. About six monhs after this I had to send it back to HP for repair. They replaced several components including the faulty display adaptor and motherboard. The intial symptoms my computer had when it was going out was if I turned it off it would not turn back on. I could get it to come back on by pressing the power button and if it did not come on all the was, I'd turn it off completely by holding the power button down - repeating this until I finally got it to come back on.
It is now January 2010 and it is starting to have the same problem - only it is out of warranty. HP wants $249 to replace the motherboard (including parts, labor and shipping) but I am not going to send it in. I may try to replace it myself with a replacement from the internet for $100. The only reason I even buy HP computers is because they have AMD processors - if ASUS sold laptops with AMD I definitely by one.
I do not recommend this product. However, The dv4 and dv6 with AMD processors are top notch - I bought a few of them for some folks at work and they are tough and dependable.

Don't buy HP - This model has a video fault which HP don't recognise. It was sent for repair 3 time for over heating and the screen would shutdown. Did a search on the internet and found that this model has a manufacturing fault.

The Hp Pavilion Dv2000 As Too Manny Problems Attac
The HP Pavilion DV2000 as too manny problems attached to it. Works well in the beginning but when you least expect it starts to malfunction and if you fix a problem another one or possibly the same one shows up again. Might as wel save your hard earned money for a product that IS worth it.

Hp Is Worlds Worst Company. I Bought Hp Dv2419us
hp is worlds worst company. i bought hp dv2419us from usa, california. i take to india. used for less than a year battery died.... i bought new batteries for more than 120us$ it got out of order within year. after that last week the most hopeless nvidia card on mother board died. now you people will be surprised i went to service center and there the hp people ask me to pay us$210.00 to replace mother hp main board. what i did i throw the laptop on floor and ask hp people to take it for funnel and give them few bucks for their boss to eat. never ever buy an hp product else you will lose your hard earned money. take my words seriously, i am 100% right if you still by i am sure you will suffer with hp products and customer support. never ever buy anything which is of hp brand. they just eat money, no customer support. no replacement, no reparing facility horrible product quality. just pump and show business is equal to hp!!!!!!!!!!!! keep my words as golden words. never buy any hp products.

Seduced By The Hp Pavilion Dv2000 Sleek Looking St
Seduced by the HP Pavilion DV2000 sleek looking style, however...
Shiny screen makes it impossible to use in anything but perfect lighting - reflections everywhere.
The case is also reflective which can cause problems with some overhead lighting.
Battery life is less than 1 hour.
On the positive side everything is still working.
