I Have Had The Laptop For About 3 Years Now & Wish
I have had the laptop for about 3 years now & wish i had taken much better care of it. It loads up applications in no time and has the best webcam I have ever come across. I don't think hp make them any more but if you mange to get hold of one i would highly recommend one, but remember create recovery disks! :)

Absolutely Love My Hp Pavilion Dv2530ea As I Get T
Absolutely love my HP Pavilion DV2530EA as I get to know it I am further rewarded, am starting to use it for the apps I used to run on my desktop and it easily outperforms that, although my desktop is getting on a bit.
Overall very happy, also gets admiring glances from other notebook owners, even, amusingly, Mac users!

Got This Machine A Few Weeks Ago When The Price Dr
Got this machine a few weeks ago when the price dropped with a well known online retailer (delivered in under 24 hours), don't know if they made a mistake or what, but I got great value for money.
Good machine with all the bells and whistles, fingerprint reader, wifi, bluetooth, digital TV system, web cam, remote controls, 2 Gig of Ram and an Intel core 2 duo from a top flight manufacturer, what more could you ask for?
So far I have only seen the battery last up to 2 hours 45 mins, but in fairness this was still with the wifi switched on and browsing for most of the time.
It's quite a bit lighter than my last laptop(15.4") but I can't say that I've noticed the screen that much smaller.
The only thing I don't like (and this is a personal thing)is the "brightscreen". I find it difficult to read outside, and not only on bright days.
One thing to watch. Maybe I did something wrong but when I updated the HP "quick view" software the web cam stopped working and I had to do a restore to the previous software to get it back again.
Some third party software is still not available in a Vista version. Ah well... all things in good time.
So, so far so good... many more pros than cons and great value for the money (in my case anyway).
