Fujitsu Amilo Xi3670. Top Spec...poor Reliability!
I bought my Fujitsu Amilo Xi3670 Laptop in November 2009 and at the time it was considered to be at the cutting edge of laptop technology.
Problems started when the touch control volume control began to increase and decrease the volume without any request to do so..very annoying whilst trying to watch media on your built in BluRay player!.
The machine was sent back to Germany for repair and returned fixed...until one day it just stopped working and would not power up at all. Back to Germany...fixed....but during it's repair they had taken out my hard drive (with my data on it) and replaced it because it was "faulty"....although it worked fine the day before it went away as i had been trying to backup some of my files using an external caddy!
Then a few months later the back light on the huge 18.4" HD display stopped working...back to Germany...returned again fixed.
After being back from Germany for less than 8 weeks the backlight has again failed!.....so i have left the damn thing in a cupboard and have been using my 6 year old Toshiba instead!.
Not happy with having to keep sending it on holiday every few months...it gets out more than i do these days!
Sad really, as it could have been an awesome machine...but my confidence in it's reliability has been badly eroded .
