Emachines E430

Hi, today iam reviewing the emachines e430, this is a low priced but great value for the money laptop it features a low priced but yet good processor which is the AMD sempron M100 II, 3gb of RAM, a large 250gb 2.5inch SATA hard drive.

The looks, I think this laptop looks great its not a really fat laptop but still homes a massive 15.6inch screen the keypad and track pad both look great and work great, the track pad is not sticky, also the right and left button click well. The top of the laptop looks very nice and modern with a textured pattern and Emachines logo.

The laptop is great with internet browsing with its great wi-fi capability but I when multiple programs are opened it does put the performance down because it is only a single core processor and eventually the with to much open the laptop will freeze and need to be restarted, the laptop is great for watching movies in hd and watching videos in HD on youtube but struggles with 1080p video decoding. The laptop is also fine with word documents and power points but I believe video editing would make the laptop struggle to perform well.

Next I want to talk about temperatures as most laptops are on peoples laps this means they do get extremely hot, after an hour of using the laptop the lowest temperature is:55 degrees and highest is:64 degrees, but don't really go any higher than that if you continue to use the laptop.

A couple of bad points nothing terrible but first of all there is no web cam and secondly its vga out only, neither of these are big problems as web cams are cheap and you can get vga adaptors and if im honest I wouldn't expect a web cam and loads of display ports for £300.

Over all I think this is a great laptop for the money the build quality is good and all components in the machine are worth the money, I have only ever had one problems with it is where I dropped it, but they gave a great service In picking it up repairing it and dropping it off all within a 5 days. This laptop is a extremely quiet and rarely the fans spin up loads, only when the processor is working hard but this is not for long at all.
