I've Had My Dell Inspiron 6000 For Over 3 Years No

I've had my Dell Inspiron 6000 for over 3 years now and have had no bother with it at all. It's been dropped and had a TV dropped on it, but it's still going strong despite a few battle scars. Only problem i had was the DVD drive stopped working. I phoned Dell up and they sent me a new drive which took me about 5 mins to swap over.

Poor Technical Support, Personally Very Unhappy Wi

Poor technical support, personally very unhappy with this Dell Laptop, I would never recommend it or even think about buying it again. In my experience the case kept falling about, how poor is that? USB ports went dead withing 3 months of its purchase! Keys are coming out of their pads too! Battery is poor, Hard disck crashes within one week for me...

Infact the only good point is the bright screen is quite cool, but most laptops have this therefore I do not recommend Dell Inspiron 6000 at all for a laptop.

First Year No Problem At All. Good And Smooth. But

First year no problem at all. Good and smooth. but after 1.5 years, it was hell, bad performance, worst response time, poor battery and now its completely dead. It doesnt mean I didnt take sufficient care on my laptop. I did all system maintenace I can using system tools at least once in every 3 months but still performance tumbled and after 2 years its dead completly. Unbelieveable! My wife is also having a dell laptop and we dont know when its going to die as its performance is also tumbling. I had a acer before if I need to pick one from Acer or Dell I would go for Acer no way Dell.

My next laptop certainly wont be DELL.

I know many people who use Dell's and like them. If it had been just one computer I'd have thought I just had a lemon. But both of the dell's broke down within a couple of years. Granted, Several people in my house use it, so it does get a lot of use, but still it should last longer than it has.

This Laptop Developed A Fault After 10 Months Sent

This laptop developed a fault after 10 months sent it back to Dell for repair under warranty, they said we had spilt coffee on it and would not repair it unless we paid them £280.00. On return of this laptop took it apart and found no evidence anywhere of liquid damage. I Would never buy a Dell again terrible customer service.

This Inspiron 6000 Was My 3rd System From Dell. Wh

This Inspiron 6000 was my 3rd system from Dell. When my Sony Vaio became obsolete, I decided on the 6000 and added some $500 worth of options. It arrived minus a key on the keyboard. Dell sent me a 'used replacement keyboard. The system had some kind of glitch or something from day 1. It would reboot sporadically and would throw errant characters wherever it wished on text documents. The hard drive crashed 4 times in just a few months, the last one taking out the partition and all my files. Dell sent me a 'used' hard drive to replace it. In fact I went through 3 keyboards, and 2 hard drives trying to eliminate its sporadic behaviour. Expressed my concerns about an underlying problem, after each successive used replacement part made no difference. After fooling with the machine for months most of the time it being unusable, it quit firing up altogether. The last call from India (Dell) told me the warranty did not cover motherboard problems and I would have to come up with $250 to fix it. Although it has never run properly, to date it simply sits in the corner non functional, as I put together a small claims action for its replacement, repair, or my money back.
