I Have Had The Dell 5160 For Over 2 Years Now. It

I have had the Dell 5160 for over 2 years now. It seems it is an ancient machine, but I have loved the usability of it. It is beginning to not detect some new products in the USB ports. I suppose it's a configuration issue. It also does not contain a built in wireless card. Also, the battery life has always been a problem. It needs to be constantly plugged in, and buying a new battery has not seemed to help. Also, the DC port does not always detect the charger. However, I have loved the durability of the laptop. It has been dropped multiple times and skidded across wood floor. It barely looks like it has a scratch on it. Also, the speed of this laptop is amazing! It has never crashed on me, and I constantly have at least 5 internet tabs open at once. Over all, it is a good laptop, but I would not recommend it because its time is coming to a close.

This Laptop Is Poor In My Opinion. I Have Experien

This laptop is poor in my opinion. I have experienced nothing but problems with it. First, the CD-ROM drive failed, then the DC jack became loose so that the power flickered on and off until it failed. As it was out of warranty, I had to solder on a new DC jack, but the bad design of the DC socket meant that the DC jack would become loose again... Do not recommend the Dell Inspiron 5160 laptop.

It Runs Every Program I've Tried To Run, Plays Abo

It runs every program I've tried to run, plays about 95% of games, but obviously it's not got a powerful graphics card. Nothing major has gone wrong with it, but my step dads Dell Inspiron 5150's power port snapped on the motherboard. My girlfriends 1100 overheats because of dust in the fan inlet, and these all use the same chassis. I have got 3 months until my Dell Inspiron 5160 laptops 2 year anniversary, and the battery has started showing signs of its death.

I Bought The Dell Inspiron 5160 Laptop Because I N

I bought the Dell Inspiron 5160 laptop because I needed a Pentium 4 laptop. It serves a purpose for me, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else buying one. It's very heavy. It gets very hot, and the AC adapter failed just outside the warranty.

As a company, Dell's support isn't brilliant, because you'll usually get someone who doesn't speak very good English.

The Dell Inspiron 5160 Is A Poor Computer, And Del

The Dell Inspiron 5160 is a poor computer, and Dell provide even poorer service.

We purchased our system less than 6 months ago. We have already experienced severe technical problems, and two weeks ago were informed that the system required a replacement motherboard.

We had purchased a guarantee which meant that any problems with the system would be repaired withing 24 hours. Two weeks later, and we are still waiting.

Take the time to look online at the many pages of customer complaints about Dell's technical support service and customer service records.

Do not buy this laptop, unless you actually enjoying spending your quality time (and money) on hold to a technical support line.

You must of got the faulty one because mine is perfecto!!!!!!

They came in and set it up wounderfully! The only thing a little bit bad was that the screen held the dust so you had to clean it once a week. (Which isn't much of a problem is it people?) So i would disagree.
