This Inspiron 1564 Was A Replacement For The Many
This Inspiron 1564 was a replacement for the many problems I encountered with the Inspiron 1525. I have had this system for only 9 months and in that time I have had 5 service engineers come to my house to fix problems I have had.
These are the pieces I have had replaced in efforts to get the problem fixed:
Hard drive (2)
Memory
CPU
Motherboard (2)
Cooling Fan
Wifi Card
Wifi Antenna
Integrated Cam
Keyboard
Trackpad
As any informed computer user would know, replacing all these parts should fix any issues, but alas they did not, meaning the replacements were also defective.
I have had Blue Screen of Death, White-fading screen, Wifi constantly dropping off, overheating, freezing of mouse, sound glitching, Integrated Cam not working...
Not only has this Inspiron 1564 ( and the subsequent 1525) had MAJOR problems, but in my opinion, the Dell Customer Service is the worst service that exists today.
They avoid replacing parts for as long as possible, indirectly accuse you of causing the problems, and will pass you around to other 'service experts' so they don't have to deal with your problem!! I have put up with failure after failure with the 1564, and I have on many occasions requested for a refund - to no avail.
