E-books Are The Future, There Is No Doupt About Th

E-books are the future, there is no doupt about that, they just need to confirm a hardware standard other which you will have to buy new ones every week. which is good for the makers but not for use. The ability to take all your fav books with you where ever you go is amazing. Now if only the battary would last 2 months or more. But in the mean time it is perfect for train trips, planes, taxis, afternoons in the sun after work. Found a fantastic site that sells them as well

If You Read Dozens Of Paperback Novels Each Month,

If you read dozens of paperback novels each month, as my wife does then this could be just the gadget for you. At first I was sceptical about my technophobe wife using something like this but she very quickly settled in to using it. It gives the convenience of carrying hundreds of books around in your "pocket". The PRS-300 is the pocket version but is a little too big to fit a normal pocket but does fit a handbag easily. It is very intuitive to use. One drawback is the method by which the books are catalogued on the reader itself. It does not file books by authors surname. I would also recommend prospective purchasers to download and use the freeware version of Cardinal. It offers much more functionality and is more stable than the reader library that comes with the reader. A major drawback with the reader is the need for access to a computer each time you want to add or remove a book, or to charge its battery. My son has a PSP and we have used the charger from that sucessfully. A wise puchase, although an expensive one, was the light and cover for the reader. The screen is black and white and is not like a normal computer screen that you can read in the dark, you need illumination to read it.

After 3 Months The Sony Reader Digital Book Prs505

after 3 months the Sony Reader Digital Book PRS505S screen has issues which prevent reading of books.

sony states not covered by warranty but as no damage to unit the screen is just not robust to take normal travelling so product is not living up to expectations from an electronic e-reader.

e-books are not cheaper to justify the expense of the e-reader if it is not able to perform for longer than a few months

I found this review helpful because...gave straightforward info.

I also have fallen foul of the useless customer service from sony-They have always had screen breaking issues, amongst other problems.

I Really Like This Sony Reader Digital Book Prs505

I really like this Sony Reader Digital Book PRS505S, and reading is really easy on the eyes. It means you can carry a large selection of books around with you very easily. The screen/display looks very much like paper.

It take a long time to reboot if you have lots of books, up to 20mins for 1500 books, but you only need to do this every few weeks.
