I Got This Pc 2 Years Ago With Vista Pre-installed

I got this PC 2 years ago with vista pre-installed. Vista was killing my PC making it noisy, and sluggish. Have now upgraded to Windows 7 and surprisingly it is fast and the hard drive has stopped making noise. I would recommend this PC to everyone, only with Windows 7 though.

This Machine Has A Very Noisy And Overactive Hard

This machine has a very noisy and overactive hard drive that scratches away all day, and is fatiguing to listen to. There is a very low amount of ram in the machine, just 512. Three slots are free!.You can't even up grade the BIOS system from the ACER offical site. It seems to be able to handle photo well and has a four biscuit insert panel for camera memory cards at the front of the machine. But that's all you can say for it on the positive side. I would give it one and a half stars only. A very basic modle the T-180 0972

About The Acer Aspire T180 Desktop I Have Ha

About the Acer Aspire T180 Desktop I have had the usual problems but it was all down to my inexperience.

I have mine open at the side and I have upgraded the graphics card to a NVIDIA 7600 GS plus and I installed a new fan.

I play call of duty modern warfare 2 and its great.

I have only installed one ram memory card and I am going to upgrade it to a 2gb I have two spare slots and will seek advice on whether I could put more ram in.

It was running a bit slow so I bought Regcure and blow me when it cleared my computer of the ammassed junk the speed gained was fantastic it was back to the speed when I bought it.

I am 67 and not computer literate so I was amazed at the junk that piles up even when you defrag stuff lies dormant in your puter that you do not want.

Bought This About 2 Years Ago With 1gb Ram And 160

Bought this about 2 years ago with 1Gb ram and 160gb memory. Since easily upgraded to 4gb ram with no problem. Agree graphics is slow but plan to upgrade soon. Good basic machine with no problems with MS Office or with most photoediting software. Also added second DVD RW for ease of copying discs. With regular maintenance and clean up this is a good basic level, economical PC which is easy to upgrade if needed.

There Is One Place For This Pc - In The Bin.

There is one place for this pc - in the bin.

Why did they sell it with Vista installed? The machine is gutless. Upgrading the ram is full of pitfalls and I'm not going to attempt it.

I really hope mine has a fatal error soon so I am forced to buy, or better build, a new pc.

The only thing that Acer can make is monitors.

The Acer Aspire T180 System Was Very Sluggish And

The Acer Aspire T180 system was very sluggish and had problems opening word and excel, took a very long time to launch these programs.

When I tried to request a recovery CD from customer support it became a lesson in the ultimate frustration. I got referred back and forth between their website and call center. Each referring me to the other.

So no recovery disc poor performing system. I feel like I was robbed. Price made me take the risk on this system but to anyone out there looking for cheap, take my advice wait until you can afford any other system!

I think this Acer Aspire T180 PC Desktop pc is great. I put 2 gig extra ram in to it and it run games media player and other programs without any problems .. i do intend to put yet another 1 gig ram in it (coz it can take it) and get myself a decent graffix card ... but overall this is a great and decent priced pc.

A solid, reliable machine. I've had no problems with it for over 2 years so I'm quite happy with it. Although the graphics card which it has to start with is kind of old, and isn't really up to the standard of modern pc gaming. Overall a great machine, worth the money, and a free upgrade to vista.

Im Going To Upgrade Mine To A Nvidia Ge Force 9500

Im going to upgrade mine to a nvidia ge force 9500gt, comes with 1 gb ram, also 570 watt power pack, and ddr ram to 2 gb ram, total cost is £140.00, Ive upgraded to windows vista at no extra cost, and my system runs great, im really into digital photography and have a 22" wide screen acer 223w screen and these mods will make a great difference, ive weighed up the pros and cons of getting a new system. with this spec its to much to buy new again... so an upgrade is on the xmas list.

Good desktop pc, when upgraded great pc, all been checked out and had apci port scan done also i can upgrade my ddr ram to 4gb, so im keeping it, enough said, reading some peoples problems, ive never had one, but if i had any like ive read i would have taken it back to comet...

In Case Of Reliability And Service I Recommend - D

In case of reliability and service I recommend - don't buy this machine. After paying a lot of money and waiting a lot of time you get recovery cd's which don't work. The support service tell's you, you should try partitioning first with a win98 cd (maybe) or with any another boot-floppy (there's no floppy drive integrated).

And the video-drivers on the acer-website for this pc also dont work.
