I've Had This Sony 420g Monitor For More Than Thre
I've had this Sony 420G monitor for more than three years and have had no problems with it. I use Dell, NEC and IBM monitors of the same or larger size at work and this is as good as or better than those. I have only used quality video cards and have found that most monitors will perform poorly with an underpowered card or with the onboard video garbage that comes with many low-priced computers.

Got Mine About A Year Ago And No Problems Whatsoev
Got mine about a year ago and no problems whatsoever. Excellent value for money. Using 1600x1200 on a mac G4 with OSX with excelent definition. A smart monitor. No need for 20",21",22" monitors. Of course, I would trade it for a Apple Cinema HD Display (23" flat panel) $3,499.00.

What A Joke Of A Monitor The Sony 420g Is! Geometr
What a joke of a monitor the Sony 420G is! Geometry distortion, funny spots, ripples etc. all the unwanted mascarade on your screen and it costs a lot!
Have you tried changing your video card. Most of the problems such as rippling are caused by a poor input signal from the video card.

Had Nothing But Problems With This Sony 19" 420g M
Had nothing but problems with this Sony 19" 420G monitor. Had a mind of it's own. Would flicker, switch off and sometimes not even boot up with computer. Gladly gave it up for a new Philips, which I love.
Easy Setup And Customization; Flat Face; Wonderful
Easy setup and customization; flat face; wonderful colors and graphics; not quite so good text; price has come down since I got mine six months ago.
