Cyberinic Cyinc Z Nano

Cyberinic Cyinc Z Nanos, as with all small mice, are usually meant for the mobile notebook users, where portability is the key. Many notebook users I know actually disable their touchpads due to their poor sensitivity and usage as an input device. Even playing a simple game like solitaire using the touchpad can be a real chore!

Though small, Z-Nano can perform all the functions and a little more of a normal laser mouse. Instead of using two fingers to click your left and right buttons, you only need one now! All you need to do is to rock your finger forward or backwards like a see-saw, to click your left or right buttons. To scroll pages up and down your documents like a scroll-wheel, you can do the same thing by pressing the scroll buttons at the side of Z-Nano.

Z-Nano is a well-crafted and unique mouse. As it uses laser light for tracking, it is able to work on a lot more surfaces, compared to a normal optical mouse. I have tested it on black, white and lacquered surfaces without any tracking problems.

It also devises a simple yet effective way of managing wires by the clever use of a rare-earth magnet to hold the cable and mouse together.

Furthermore, it comes with additional features like user-selectable resolution (100 to 1600 cpi) and auto-scroll functions to enhance your surfing experience. It even comes with a slot to insert your own photo, which makes it great for personal and corporate gifts.

The reorientation of the buttons to front and back clicking effectively halved the size of a mouse. Though this involves a slight learning curve, it took me less than 10 mins to get use to it. I had no problems with the clicking even with my relatively big fingers! Those with relatively smaller fingers would really love this mouse.

On the whole, it is an extremely handy mouse, that pleasantly surprises me with its ease-of-use and rich features.

With the introduction of slimmer and lighter notebooks like the Mac Air and the Ultra-Mini PCs, a small and practical mouse like Z-Nano is the way to go!
