Forget fast typing with the UNOTRON Washable Corded Keyboard SpillSeal keyboard! If you do not hit the keys perfectly perpendicular, it sticks (especially the space bar), and it continues typing the letter (even with your hands off the keyboard), or it does not type anything at all.

Having read all of the press recently regarding the nasty germs that hide in computer keyboards and the focus of MRSA we decided to look into changing all of the keyboards in our practice to washable ones.

Having searched thoroughly we found that most healthcare institutions use these hard rubber type keyboards which costs £100+.

Luckily we stumbled across an article reviewing the Unotron SpillSeal range of washable keyboards. We contacted them and they were happy to come see us and provide a couple of keyboards to test out.

The keyboards are sealed and can be fully washed, not just wiped but literally pushed under water and scrubbed, after a quick demonstration on how to wash we started using them and they work just like a normal keyboard.

We were really impressed not just by their personal approach but by the quality and usefulness of the product and have since replaced all of the keyboards in the practice.

For a medical centre such as ours this is such a great idea and helps us keep our surgery germs free. If anyone else out there wants a germ free office you should contact Unotron.
