This ASUS P5V-VM DH motherboard is bad.
I have tested it with Windows XP, FreeBSD, Minix, OpenSUSE Linux, Ubuntu Linux and other linux distributions.
Under Windows XP, it will just do its work, although the bad quality of VIA components is tangible.
Under Linux, it will work, but only recent kernel versions will support the chipset of the extremely disappointing built-in wireless adapter. Even under Windows it continuously lost the connection.
Under FreeBSD, it would not pass the bootstrap
I do not recommend it to anyone as the "added value" of the included components (sound, graphics, wlan) is below mediocrity.

This mobo is perfect under vista. The driver support and update frequency is very poor from asus for this mobo. dh remote doesnt work with vista or win 7 - everything else works perfectly.

Has A Good Range Of Features And Works Well Under
Has a good range of features and works well under xp and windows 2003. It doesn't work under vista because of IGP. VIA UniChrome driver family. Although the site provides a Vista driver for this, it didn't actually work. Not recomended as of now there are other motherboards out there that are fully compatable with Vista.
